This was our first visit to Siargao and based on some favorable reviews we decided to book our first night at Isla Cabana.
The pick up service from the airport was in a communal van which was fine and the fee was 300 PhP.
On arriving at the resort we were greeted with a welcoming Nestle ice Tea (very sweet lol).
The resort itself is visually stunning with great gardens and 2 very nice infinity pools. There are 6 new villas that were built last year and these are absolute beach front, each with its own jacuzzi - these were booked out during our stay however, worth considering if they are available.
After completing our checkin formalities we were shown to our room. We had booked a Guyam Cabana which was a good option. It was very spacious, a nice comfortable bed, outside/inside shower and cable TV.
Overall the room was fine, two small issues - firstly the toilet wasn't working and required continual fidgeting to make it flush. Secondly the cable tv wasn't working however we were advised this was due to a weak signal.
The main concern as raised by other travelers on TA are the number of mosquitos in the room. This was a continual challenge and management need to do more to seal the rooms better.
The restaurant quality is average at best. We ate there several times during our stay and weren't that impressed any of the meals.
Service can also be very slow - on our last day we ordered a garden salad and fries and it took over an hour to arrive. This is surprising seeing the salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, cucumber, onions and green tomatoes.
After being initially excited about the grounds and the rooms, it's a shame that the restaurant lets the place down.
The staff are all very pleasant and accommodating however, I suspect they do not have enough staff in the kitchen or dining rom to cope with demand.
A good resort and definitely worth considering

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days and absolutely LOVED it! You want for nothing here. Anything you need they are right there with it. Staff goes way above and beyond for their guests. We had friends stay at other resorts there and they all said how much better they liked Isla Cabana than their resorts. We will stay here again and again and highly recommend it. The good is spectacular and so are the drinks! They know what they're doing here. Hospitality and accommodation at its finest. Thank you Isla!!!!

All were fine: the staff, house keeping, restaurant is very good, good facilities and very clean. Except one thing, the cottages close to the entrance/street is very loud because of the cars/tribike passing by, but then they assisted us to transfer to another cottage after 2 nights. But overall, everything was fine :-)

Room Tip: Sea view cottages looked very nice.

My Husband and I stayed at Isla Cabana Resort from Feb 14 to 18, 2016. We had a very charming and spacious cabana. The children and adult pool by the beach was excellent. And all the staff were absolutely lovely.
Renting a motorbike to explore this extremely charming island and meet the lovely local was the best experience we have had :)

Room Tip: The room and veranda was really charming and spacious, just the bathroom looks a bit used.

I know all readers are busy, so i'll just summarize it. I stayed twice in this hotel already.

Room - 4 star
Room is huge! We got the Isla dako room that is 54sqm. Interior is homey and relaxing. The only problem with the room is the mosquitos. You need a anti mosquito lotion applied before going to bed!

Food - 4 star
Relatively more expensive than other restaurants but the food is really good. Also, the restaurant has an amazing view of the sea

Services - 2 stars
Staff are friendly and accommodating but housekeeping is lazy. Forgot to clean the used coffee cups in the room, dead mosquitos on the floor and unkempt towels and sofa cushions. Also, there is a 10pm curfew for outside guest.

Tip: Don't get their hotel tour packages, its abhorrently priced.
