This was our second visit to Merryview. Absolutely perfect. The breakfast basket and Sunday papers are a perfect start to your holiday. We love the area and we will certainly stay here again.

“A perfect holiday property, with everything thought of”
Reviewed 5 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

This is our third stay at woodhead cottages and we will definitely be back. Previously we stayed at tawny nook but selected merryview as we were a larger party. It is in a fantastic location with views over rolling countryside with on a clear day, the sea in the distance. Trish and Derek are excellent hosts, the cottages are immaculate and homely and they have thought of everything. We had an excellent break over the new year, the cottage was cosy despite the best efforts of the weather outside. We love these cottages, feel like they are a home from home and willl hopefully be back again before too long.

“Fabulous”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Just back from a superb week at Merry View. Endorse all of the great things that have been said before. Great location, very well appointed cottage. We were with our children and their grandparents and there was plenty of room for everyone. Lovely to have (very) local eggs, bacon, Sunday papers etc. Would love to return.

We have just spent a lovely week in this cottage. It has been furnished to a high standard, very comfortable and spotless throughout, almost like something out of country living magazine. We were greeted by the owners who were welcoming & friendly they provided us with an excellent food hamper on our arrival, sausage, bacon, eggs etc.and Sunday morning papers! The view from the front of the cottage is to die for, plenty to see and do, lovely beaches, We really didn't want to go home, but we will be back hopefully next year. Thanks Trisha & Derek for a great holiday

“5 star property with 5 star views”
Reviewed 30 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure in staying at the Merryview Cottage in March this year and I have only just got around to writing a review. When we arrived we could not believe the views and although the weather was cold, the cottage was lovely and cozy with the woodburning stove already burning bright ahead of our arrival. We were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and they left us a welcome hamper which included free range eggs which were freshly collected that morning. Coming from, and working in, a city this place is the best place we have stayed at for getting rid of all the stress and strains that come with city life. We looked through the guest book and it was no suprise to see comments from people who had stayed on more than one occasion as we fully intend to re visit as soon as possible. Well worthy of the 5 star rating.
I had a difficult decision to make when doing this review as half of me wanted to tell the world about how wonderful the place is but half of me doesn't want anyone else to know about so we can keep it to ourselves !
