Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Says it’s a none smoking hotel however you call smell smoke in the corridors at times as well as some of the tables in the rooms having cigarette burns in them (we requested to be moved from our first room)

Rooms were thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis which is good.

Pool is nice but not as big as it looks in the pictures.

Bar only opens at 1pm and they do not sell food during the day or evening. So a visit to the local supermarket around the corner is a must.

Staff friendly & very helpful.

No irons available, only a ironing service which wasn’t cheap and not up to standard.

Spa wasn’t open so not entirely sure why it’s labelled as a hotel & spa. Same with the restaurant. Why is it labelled as to having a restaurant when it’s never open.

Overall a cheap & relaxing stay at the hotel however do agree with several other reviews that the hotel should be a 3 star rating.

Location very good a two minute walk to the beach & shops.

Flew into Malaga on 24/05/18 and caught train & Bus to Hotel Cala Bahia. We were greeted on arrival by Carolina at reception who was very courteous and efficient. Our Room was clean and spacious with good views of the town and even sea views from the spacious balcony. We were booked in for Bed & Breakfast and Breakfast was a buffet and casual affair with very friendly staff. My Spanish is non existent so fortunately with Carolina we were able to communicate well.
The Hotel is tops in my opinion, quite and no fuss. The Room was very clean and towels were changed daily and the beds made up and spruced up. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for a quite but well deserved rest and not far from the beach and numerous restaurants.

Room Tip: 5th floor is a good option with a balcony. I did not see any of the other rooms so cannot give an opinion on them.

Really disappointed with our stay in this hotel. The room was dusty and it smelt as if it had been closed up for some time. The pool was closed as was the spa so really it can only be described as a b&b, albeit one with a poor breakfast. No hot water available for making tea and the food that was available was of a poor standard.

This hotel is definitely not a 4*.

We have just come back from a weeks stay here, the hotel itself is nice, we found the staff to be pleasant.
The rooftop pool is lovely and quiet the only downside to it is the bar closes at 9 sometimes a little before, it would be ideal if it was to open later as to chill up there with a drink would be lovely.
Rooms are spacious and very clean, however we did miss not having a balcony!
There are some nice restaurants within walking distance and the coastal walk to rincon de Victoria where there is more of a selection.

Having moved out of another hotel (after two nightmare nights of club music till dawn) we were seeking any port in a storm. However we struck lucky with this quiet 4star hotel with a rooftop pool in a small resort close to Rincon. Our room was spacious with a spa bath, a private balcony and a huge bed and the ac worked fine.a good choice of places to eat and drink locally although the bar/restaurant in the little square nearby became our favourite especially their pil pill prawns.
A nice beach too just five minutes walk.
Was tempted to give the Cala Bahia a 5 but I never give 5s.
