Lovely apartment... shame about the beds

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 2 Apr 2018via mobile
We went to this apartment in March as a cheap get away and some sun. The apartment is good, it is big with a kitchen area, breakfast bar and a lounge area. The sofa turns in to a sofa bed. The bed is two twin beds. However we found the beds extremely uncomfortable!! They were so hard and unfortunately we didn’t sleep well during our 10 day break. We asked reception for a mattress topper which they didn’t have. There is a cleaner every day except Thursdays and Sundays. Our first room was 111 which was right above a bar and at night it was really loud. We did book a pool view but were told the hotel didn’t have any available. We then got moved to 107 with a sea view which was lovely. The showers tended to go cold after the first one so we waited a while between showers. The maintenance man can’t and looked at our boiled and said it was all fine. The pool area is lovely with a pool bar. You aren’t allowed to take your own drinks or food with you which I don’t agree with when you’re in an apartment. There is a pool table in reception. Reception was lacking some atmosphere in the evening.. maybe it’s because we didn’t go during peak season? The breakfast was good, there was cooked breakfast, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries etc. The area is lovely is right on the sea front. There is a hyper market right next door and lots of places to eat. It is a hilly area. It’s also right on a bus route so you can get the bus to Costa Adeje/los cristinanos. It’s a lovely walk to los gigantes along the coast if you like a nice walk. You can get a hair dryer from reception. They do have pool towels but you have to pay 2 euros per day... never done this before only had to pay a deposit? On the last day we couldn’t get a late check out but there is somewhere to leave luggage and there are showers by the pool. My partner used the shower in the males, shut the door, and there was no handle on the door! There was a square cut out which he managed to climb through but nobody seemed bothered! Luckily he fitted through as it was only a small gap - I have put in the photos if anyone fancies a giggle!! Overall the apartment is great and in a great location. The 3 stars are because of the bed... if they got some better beds it would be a 4 star. Wouldn’t return because of the beds unfortunately.

We stayed here for one night for a visit during our holiday. We traveled by bus from Golf del Sur which stopped about 50 metres from the hotel. We arrived at 10.30 in the morning expecting to leave our bags and go the the beach for the day. However there was a clean room available so they let us check in early which meant we spent the day by the hotel pool (complete with bar) on the fourth floor - amazing! Our ‘room’ was actually a very large apartment on the second floor with balcony and sea view. Very clean and spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Excellent value for money and a great location.

A nice welcome awaits. Apartment on the first floor had a nice view of the sea. Spacious room and large balcony. Kitchen was a little odd - ie not really stocked for cooking. Breakfast is very much worth it. Very large choice. Loved the pool deck upstairs. Day beds, lounges and a bar awaits. Good location to the black sand beach or 25 minute walk to Los Gigantes Port - with great bus and taxi options available

This is a clean, nicely presented hotel with great views and easy access to Santiago, Los Gigantes and Playa del Arena. Supermarket, restraunts and bars on doorstep. Our apartment is large enough, basic in equipment and furniture but certainly adequate and the sea views are terrific.

The best thing of all is the customer focus of the staff, they were all very helpful and pleasant, from check in to date.

There is a good gym available free to guests and 4th floor pool area is quiet and well equipped.

Suggested improvements would include better complimentary shower gel/shampoo and soap and to continue upgrading some of the room furnishing and fixtures but please do not take this as a negative, they are minor observations and did not detract from our happiness with this accommodation.

All in all an excellent value apart hotel.

Room tip: Sea views are excellent,

Booked for 11 nights bed and breakfast. Lovely apartment, beds were comfortable. Nice having a coffee maker in the kitchen area which we made use of having taken coffee with us. Kettle toaster and fridge fine, could have done with a better cooker system as it was a tiny 2 ring job. Shame the downstairs bar was closed but there are plenty in the area. Supermarket just round the corner. The hotel is on a corner so no onsite parking but we always found a spot not to far from the hotel. Nice large balcony with a brilliant sea view and good for people watching as well while having a glass of wine.
Breakfast was amazing with so much variety from fresh fruit to full English, same as in most hotels hot food could have been a bit hotter, always seems to be warm bordering on cold. I think this is the same as most hotels abroad. Still very good choice of food though. The pool bar on the 4th floor was very good. The barman (sorry forgot his name) looked after us and was very friendly, his English was quite good to. food was excellent and cappuccinos really nice and everything very sensibly priced. Lovely seating areas with sun loungers and day beds, pool was small and freezing. Only managed to go in and brave it a couple of times. Nice area with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Overall a very pleasant stay, oh and forgot to mention all the staff very helpful and friendly.
