my wife and i just returned from a 2 week break at this hotel the food was very poor and cheap looking, we probably got our monies worth though with our drinks we had at the pool. the noise levels are terrible in the morning from 7am because ignorant people thought it was fine to stand and talk loudly while waiting on the sunbeds being unchained , these people were english not spanish so selfish and rude. was noisy at night too people talking so loudly in halls etc and kids running about into the early hours. we had very little sleep. we went to reception who were not interested they just said these people are like animals and what can we do , my wife said where is the security he said they tell these people to be quiet but they wait till there back is turned and start again, but they dont give a damn they could try harder and more firmer than just putting a finger to there lips. We saw the scurmish that the prevous reviewer had mentioned what kind of people fight over sunbeds or the area where they want to put there sunbeds. we met a couple of friends on holiday and like us they had walked out of buffet resteraunt and just went to the local restuarants which were really good. the staff dont enforce any of the hotel rules like not being aloud to reserve sunbeds. the staff seem disinterested. its like groundhog day at the hotel same music at the pool same entertainment each day- water polo english v spanish , scottish welsh and irish or anyone else didnt get a look in, it got heated and violent at times. someone also fell from a balcony and is seriously hurt, but someone had said a fight had broke out and he was mybe pushed and that the guy had died but this may be a rumour. im normaly a positive person and my glass is half full kind of guy, but this was not a good hotel to stay in, overhall of staff needed and rules enforced to help the majority of people have a nice stay. food needs to be alot better bacon in the moring has more fat the bacon on it, dinner time is the worst too much to mention. the last few reveiws are spott on avoid going here, they are not interested. 24th aug - 7th sept

The hotel room itself wasn't great. We had two single beds which we had to push together. No Air Con in the room which wasn't ideal after a hot day, couldn't keep windows or doors open because of cockroaches (we had 3 in a week) and flies. The resort itself was quite nice, lovely looking pools and was lovely to look at when relaxing by the pool. Having to fight for a sun lounger was ridiculous though.

On the welcome letter it says that people can not reserve sun loungers, but every day they were 'reserved'. We woke up at 9 one morning and all of the beds were out with towels on them so we had to 'bathe' on the grass. The morning before our last day i woke up at 7:30 just to wait around for the staff to clean the pool and unchain the sunbeds so i could get a bed and also a decent spot, for once, this was about 8:30 by the time the pool was clean. This was made worse when the local Spanish people (who come at weekends) were also doing the same thing as us.

The food buffet was okay, chips seemed to be with every meal and not much variety, very basic but i think we expected that anyway for the price we paid. There is an on-site italian restaurant called Morocollo, definitely try eat their one day the food was lovely it was easily the best meal we had on holiday. You need to make a reservation at reception.

Reception is lovely and air conditioned so we sometimes spent an hour or two in there to cool down and the staff are very friendly and speak very good English, plus free wi-fi.

The whole holiday though was not really good for a couple as promoted. There are kids running around everywhere, bombing in to the pool, and there are kids events going on around the resort throughout the day. In the evening there are two bars open, one for kids and a nice quiet one just for adults, however there are only about 12 tables so some nights we had to sit in the 'disco' bar just so we could have a drink.

All in all though we had a pleasant holiday we would recommend it for everyone, just as a couple be wary that it might not be exactly the holiday you are after.

Reading the last few reviews really does sum this place up especially the subjects off sunbeds.
Ive never seen anything like it its bizzare that people are up at 6.30 in the morning and start there ridiculous queueing antics at 7.15 am,personally i couldnt be bothered it just goes to show the selfish extremes that people will go to especially the ones who place a towel over there beds and abandon them all day unbelievable bad attitude indeed.
Funny enough we were relaxing reading our books early in the morning and heard a spanish girl yelling at the top of her voice at this girl whilst having a tug of war with a sunbed with her, before long the whole family were arguing with the small english lot, plus later on she was making threats towards some other couple who went to reception and ordered the staff to call the police.
There again i suppose the english lot are not exactly angels either apparently some lad had tried to start a punch up with some spaniard over the water polo match as its all part of the norm.
Absolute priceless entertainment.
We had to vacate the hotel during the day as the noise levels were really high i dare say this might have had something to do with school term and the constant noise of the sunbed revellers.
If you happen to be on half board you might get scrutinised by the head waiter as he is like a hawk he never misses a trick that head of his swivels everywhere to see if the half boarders a free loading around the beer, wine and fizzy drinks although they never will tell you what you are allowed,as it turns out you are allowed the water on tap but half the time this dosnt work a bit like most the things in the hotel.
The restaurant is like a furnace although i thought the food isnt to bad some things are nice some are tasteless,i just stuck to the salads and grilled fish and meat during my time here.
The entertainments like the sunbeds you have to go early to get a seat otherwise theres no point in buying a drink as you will have to stand outside whilst everything goes on inside, mind you what i seen on the odd occasion i would save my money and go somewhere else rather than queue up with the constant flow off blokes who seem to be satisfied having a drink out off a kids plastic cup, what a joke im so glad i didnt fork out extra substantial amounts of money going all inclusive.
Oh and i forgot to mention the odd screams at 3am on the odd night.
Oh its just a group off extremely selfish young people who have no respect for anyone else who might want to catch an early night so they can get up and grab a sunbed early in the morning, oh the irony of it all.
If you accidently book this place and realise that its not for you on a positive note the actual resort is absolutely beautiful it takes 5-10 mins to walk to los gigantes which has lots of decent bars and restaurants and a fine harbor down at the front although the beach is a little small and that grey sand that looks like cement burns your feet so keep your sandals on.
If you walk them steps in front off the hotel and turn left you will walk down the hill you will pass another small beach but the best one is another 10 mins further on as its a fair size one but it will cost 3 euros a bed each plus 3 euros a parasol which i think is rather steep.
The buses run twice an hour at the green bus stands there are plenty of bus stands and they do run on time.
If you want a bus to los christianos it will be 4 euros an adult and takes about 70 mins.
Its a great place for shopping and its very lively but is full of guys trying to sell you loads of old tat like watches sunglasses etc, some are a real pain but quite laughable.
anyway all in all i had a good holiday whist i was away from the hotel, but i only used it to sleep in and eat and that was all.
Would i come here again, definatly but not at this place not in a million years.

i have returned from stopping in this hotel and i was not happy with the room, the food was a load of crap, it wasnt value for the money at all, me and my family ate out every night as the one night me and others in the resort had food poisoning, we told the rep and he werent interested. i found the rep was useless, there was quite a few accidents round the pool. when the spanish guests come the staff treated them with better respect than the english. i would never go there again to this hotel.
