“very relaxing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2011

We stayed for two weeks in october and had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The food was excellent and varied and my wife was happy with the choices being vegetarian. The sushi and mediterranean restaurants were a very good change from the buffet as well especially the duck in the sushi. The hotel was closing the day after we left so it was getting quiet but even so the staff throughout the hotel were still excellent with their service always friendly and smiling.I would add that we went all-inclusive and thought it was well worth it especially as cala llonga was closing down and the bars and restaurants in the resort that were still open were very quiet. The hotel was kept very clean with the limited grounds neat and tidy.A couple of critisisms we have are that the beds are far too hard , like sleeping on the floor !! and the evening entertainment was at times dire and with there being so many pillars in the show bar there was very poor views of the stage area so you had to watch the acts on t.v. screens dotted around the room. All things taken in to account if you want a quiet relaxing holiday this could very well be the place to go even though 1 sad sad sight was seeing so many people , especially brits , rushing out at the crack of dawn to place towels on the sunbeds .

we stayed here for one week in october, on all-inclusive. (book with the tour operator as cheaper than hotel) The staff are the hardest working of any hotel i have stayed in, Especialy the resturant staff. Everyone wants to make your stay a pleasant one. The food was excellent, always plenty of choices, always hot and the fruit was the most appertising i have ever seen abroad. We stayed in room 312 which was a reccomendation from this site, and were pleased with it. We overlooked the enterance to reception and could see the beach, shops and sea which looked beautiful at night. We had afternoon and early evening sun, and met some really lovely people. One downside of the hotel is the position of the sun, this could have been because it was october but only some parts of the hotel had sun at certain parts of the day.

The bedrooms are of adquate size, but beds were hard (backache within two days). There is a pillow menu, which you pay for. whereas if u ask at reception they provide extra normal pillows for free. I felt there was a lack of storage space in the bedrooms though.

The peace and quiet of no children arround was heaven. Sun beds were very comfortable with plenty of parasoles. Some selfish people decided to put towels on beds that were in the shade and beds that were in the sun and alternate between the two. The levels down to the crystal clear sea are paradise. The balineese beds were okay to have a little siesta on in the afternoon as they were in the shade all day, but again were claimed with towels, with no bodys on till later in the day. This is made possible with the fact the hotel very kindly provides beach towels. so if you take your own towels you can claim more beds!!! It wasnt much of a problem at this time of the year but i imagine in peak season it is.

Entertainment wasnt too bad but had to have it inside, i dont know why ,weather was fab but we had a couple of blowy nights, but was still warm.

We were there for a week, half board, mid-September and had a great time. The hotel was excellent as was the location. Everything was spotless and was easy to ask for extra pillows, milk, tea etc when the chambermaids were doing their rounds ( I speak Spanish so that was a def plus!) Cala Llonga charming which we liked. We hired a car for the whole week so explored the island. Lots to do for people like us who are not interested in lying by the pool or on the beach but want some sunshine!
The food in the restaurant was plentiful with much being cooked fresh to order in front of you.... lots of salads and fruit. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. We did find drinks in the hotel expensive so made sure we brought water in with us from local supermarkets and then did not mind buying pre-dinner drinks and wine with our dinner.
A huge thank you to all the staff for helping me with my Spanish during the time we stayed with them. Was lovely to have them being patient with me and I learnt a lot during the week!
Highly recommend this hotel for many reasons.

Room Tip: We were on the fourth floor and had no problems.

All in all this hotel is a solid bet for a good trip to the Cala Llonga area in Ibiza. We went all inclusive for a week and throughly enjoyed it. The view from our room was amazing and the bay itself was idyllic but there were a couple of things that let the hotel down. Firstly, our bed was so hard, neither myself or husband had a good nights sleep which eventually affected our mood and energy levels! We over heard other people talking about the beds and several people complaining of being very stiff and achey in the mornings. This was particularily dissapointing as a good nights sleep is so important and in lots of other ways the rooms were lovely. All in all the rooms were clear but not spotless. Dust resting on top of bathroom bin etc. The food was very good although as other poeple have mentioned it became very repetative, and the entertainment was awful. The towels on sunbed issue continued to be a problem whilst we visited but we were happy to walk down to the beach.

The resort is close to many other Ibiza attractions and only a short bus or ferry ride and you can be in in Ibiza town or one of the other beach resorts. All in all a good stay but could have been great with a bit of attention spent on the above details.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea room and book a superior room

We stayed near the end of the season in September 2011 for 7 nights in a suite on the 3rd floor. The suites have a lounge area with the wardrobes, a couch which doubles as a sofa bed, one of the 32" flat screen Televisions available, a Playstation box on the wall, and a balcony. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed. All suites have just the one bed so if you go as friends or with your sister for instance, one has to use the sofa bed! lol! another TV in the Bedroom. Also there is another balcony. The bathroom has a bath (which was very high sided and was a stretch to get over the side) with a great shower and jacuzzi type jets set in the side of the bath. I wasn't keen on using the jacuzzi as I didn't know how clean the jets were.

The room on first inspection wasn't *that* clean! There were nail clippings on the small rug in the lounge area and quite a lot of hair in the bathroom. Otherwise the suite was fine, but more storage space would have been good and a door from the lounge to the bedroom would have been more to my taste.
The room was cleaned every day but the dust did mount up, I actually wrote my initials in the dust on the bin lid in the bathroom. The floors were mopped and the bed was made up every day. The view out of the balcony on the lounge side was of the fence and scrubbery, with a couple of plastic bags attached to the tree for a little more interest. the view out of the bedroom balcony was of some sort of pumping house?

The provisions in the room i.e the loo roll, tea and coffee etc. Were only replenished if you asked the maid for some more so you had to catch one of them on the rounds, otherwise you got your quota for the week and no more! Same with the towels, sometimes the hand towels would be taken away but not replaced. Ask the rep or at reception for an extra pillow, don't use the silly 'pillow menu'.

The lifts were tiny and could only fit 4 average sized people at one time. If 2 fat people got in there wasn't room for anybody else. You could get the lift down to the dining room but then there were stairs from there to the bar area and pool. You could go round the outside of the hotel to get to the pool, using the road. The path that led from the hotel to the resort centre was a bit of a joke, and wasn't lit at night, no hand rails and no barriers between you and the drop to the rocks and beach below, which would have been fatal if you had fallen (don't get drunk). You could always use the road to get to the resort centre but that was steep and a long way round!

The dining room was big enough and the staff worked really hard to make sure that you were accomodated at all times. The food was fantastic, really, it was very good with loads of variety and hot too!

We never used the sun beds but were woken up at 6am every morning by the occupant in the room above us who did want to put their towels out on the sunbeds early. She made so much noise moving around the room in her clipppy-clop heels I think it may have woken up more than just us! Oh! and lets not forget the people who can't close a room door without making the fittings in our bathroom rattle they slam it so hard. It didn't matter what time of day (or night) they still had to slam the bloody doors.
Would think about going back again but only if it was cheaper than the 4*+ price we paid for half board which was for - lets face it a 3* hotel with perks. Get your drinks from the supermarkets in the resort by the way, don't be conned into 15 euros a day for starters for a drinks package, it's way too expensive - or go all inclusive and wait for the bar to open at about 10.30am near the pool.
