We had a beautiful room with a very nice bathroom. But it's definitely a business hotel for Asian business people. The breakfast is mainly fried rice and noodle soup, the western part is just very old bread and jam. And you have to pay extra for breakfast on top of the room rate. We were planning on taking the nigh bus to Vientiane so we asked if it was possible to store our bags during the day, that wasn't possible. We asked if it was possible to have a quick shower after our daytrip to the Bolaven plateau, that was only possible if we paid the room rate for another day. The staff doesn't speak English very well, so that complicates things sometimes.

for the 700 baht room this is unbeatable place that you can get in the nice area of Pakse. Me and my partner went there last weekend. Found the good comment on tripadvisor and booked thro champasakhotel.com 24.50 $ included breakfast. we arrived in the aftetnoon check-in went good within 3 mins. got the key and get our rom. Room is the simple and clean. very clean for 700 Baht it made us stay one more night as I went to many places in Laos and there are nice clean and expensive hotels and there are cheap, homestay or guesthouse styles so couldn't provide much cleanliness. the staffs are very friendly and understand much english but they can provide right thing. Breakfast is simple not much choice but good enough for money. By the time we were there there are none of Western people stay only my partner which is quite good as I expected there might be lots of noisy backpackers next door. well I would recommend this hotel for travel in Pakse.

Room Tip: try to get high floor as you will see nice local houses and good view

After doing a number of homestays in Lao villages, our arrival at Sang Aroun felt a little surreal. It was so clean and spare! But it was a welcome change at the time. Rooms are good sized, nice and clean.

The breakfast is geared toward the Thai, I believe - lots of strange savory dishes, all generally good. No real coffee, just the instant, which was a disappointment.

Beds are a little hard, which doesn't make for the most relaxed sleep, but everything else was just...EASY. Recommend the place, definitely!

This should definitely be included in the Hotels category rather than B&B/Inns.

I stayed here for one night whilst motorbiking through Cambodia and Laos as I was on my way up to Vientiane. This new hotel was a very pleasant place for a stop-over. It is modern, clean and comfortable and, compared to what else I looked at before checking in, offers very good value for money.

What a gem: We had booked into a higher rating and considerably dearer hotel with smaller rooms around the corner, but they couldn’t provide 2 consecutive nights, so we relocated to here. For LKP180,000 (US$21) or LKP210,000 (if you want a buffet breakfast) a night, you got a big spacious spotlessly clean room with a built in wardrobe. A/C; TV; Fridge, a bathroom with a real shower and shower curtain, WiFi and BLISS – a mattress that was not made from concrete. Staff were friendly. Maybe the lighting for reading in bed was not the best, but being experienced geriatric flash packers that we are, we had an alternative answer with us. Our room was quiet as it was located away from the front of the hotel, one might have had some traffic noise with a room on the street front.
