“Delightful base for enormous Three Valleys ski region”
Reviewed 15 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We stayed at Chalet Alice Velut nine years ago and had an amazing ski vacation in the huge, varied and beautiful Trois Vallees. While some parts of the French Alps are notorious for ugly, purpose-built "villages," St. Martin de Belleville is the real thing -- tiny and postcard-perfect, with a pretty, historic church, lovely stone and wood buildings (some new, some old) and a breathtaking backdrop of mountains.
Alice Velut was ideal for us both times -- small but fully equipped, cozy and charming, SO convenient to the lifts, and priced much more affordably than many other St. Martin vacation rentals.
Hostess Lucy Chittenden and her wonderful staff were friendly, flexible and full of good info. We HIGHLY recommend Chalet Alice Velut. But book early! Choice winter weeks go fast.

“Fantastic place to stay, location to slopes and in the village couldn't be better”
Reviewed 12 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Just returned from from a great week skiing in the 3 valleys staying in the Violette apartment of Chalet Alice Velut. It had everything we needed, really comfortable especially after a hard days skiing. The location of the apartment was the best ever, literally a minute away from the drag lift which took us up to the main slopes - it was so easy. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the place was lovely and warm with underfloor heating and loads of piping hot water to soak in. The village has a lovely atmosphere and the apartment has everything on its doorstep. The owner Lucy was really helpful in fact went out of her way to make our skiing holiday one of the best we've had. She also runs the P Bar which is below the apartments and offers a great evenings entertainment to relax in after a hard days skiing

“Great apartment in great location”
Reviewed 28 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We stayed in Margarite with 2 teenagers and it was a great location. Within 100yds of button lift to bubble car so hardly any distance to carry skis etc. The apartment was well presented with good facilities. The location in the village is excellent and the attached P Bar was great fun, especially the quiz and the live music. Lucy is lovely and made sure our stay went well following a traumatic trip due to flight cancellations! Would definitely go back and think it must be wonderful in the summer too.

“great location in a quaint village”
Reviewed 16 February 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Fantastic location with easy access to the wonderful Les 3 Vallee ski area. Lovely apartment with Piano Bar below. Apartment is in the Centre of town and so close to shops, bars and Restaurants and Saint Martin is a beautiful Village. If you are looking for great skiing with the quaint Village experience with friendly people it doesn't get any better than this!

“Wonderful apartment, fantastic location....a real gem!”
Reviewed 3 February 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We had a fabulous week in Apartment Iris. The Chalet is perfectly located ....the walk to the ski lift takes less than 2 minutes and it's about the same distance to the supermarket, butchers and bakers. There's a number of really good restaurants in the village if you don't fancy cooking...one is literally next door. The apartment itself is roomy and very comfortable with the addition of a log fire for those really cold nights when you just want to stay put. Really well equipped kitchen and incredibly comfy beds.....no saggy, lumpy mattresses in this place!!! One of the best bits for us was the bar which Lucy also runs....après ski live music twice a week was great, and the bar is the best in the village. If you don't fancy the music don't worry...it's finished by 8pm at the latest and the clientele certainly aren't the rowdy type, so you won't be disturbed. It's rare for us to find somewhere that we would go back to, but we will definitely be returning here.
