We were looking for a peaceful, secluded and private villa for our holiday and were lucky enough to choose this villa. The photos on the website do not do this place justice. The plot is much larger than we had envisioned. The owners Ramon and Rosa have lavished a lot of care and effort into the quality of materials used and the high end landscaping. Outside, there are different sitting areas which offer shade no matter what time of day. The pool is a good size and is augmented by a waterfall which is a lovely touch, adding to the tranquility. There is also an outdoor shower to cool down with. Elsewhere the grounds are divided up into different areas, one with another waterfall that fills your very own stream, another with a very well equipped barbeque/grilling kitchen. There is also an external toilet, also witha shower, even a ping pong table. Adjoining the property there is a football pitch which we didn't use because of the heat. All of this framed by the Sierra Nevada mountains which give a dramatic backdrop. The villa is situated about 1KM form the town centre down a road only really used by the people living on it, which adds to the sense of seclusion.
The villa itself is built to the traditional Spanish style with thick walls to keep the inside cool in Summer. £ generous bedrooms all with aircon and insect mesh over the windows - both very welcome. Orgiva itself is larger than we had expected and has a great range of restaurants and bars to choose from. There are a number of supermarkets to choose from, the nearest one (Dia) being a 5 minute drive from the villa
