First visit to the tea rooms - we are working our way around Sussex............plus wherever we go on holiday in the rest of the country!
Very welcoming staff and immediately loved the decor.
We both had very cheese & tomato toasties with a salad garnish and a huge pot of decaff tea. We will admit we were there for the cake though and we weren't disappointed. We had a slice of the chocolate cake - seemed such a shame to have the first slice out as it looked so perfect - and a carrot cake. Both were extremely tasty & very moist. All are baked by the staff and they said they like to try new recipes so we have to become official cake tasters for the tea room!
Idea position for a pit stop for strollers, ramblers, hikers, cyclists on a journey to the Long Man. For those of us not on foot or two wheels there is a car park!
Cannot recommend highly enough visiting this delightful tea room - you won't be disappointed.

Whilst staying at the little cottage next door I could see this place was extremely popular! So we were cheeky enough to message the staff and ask if possible could we order a cake for the following day. As promised the cake was made for us especially and it was amazing! Thank you again.

Can't believe that it has taken us so long to visit, but we finally did this morning and we're really glad we did. The tea rooms are so pretty inside, making it a lovely place for a cuppa, served with a smile. The cake selection was excellent, and I settled on a delicious Orange & Blueberry scone served with homemade jam and clotted cream, simply lovely. I can't wait to make a return visit and chose something of the delicious sounding lunch menu.

What a fantastic little place and really friendly people. I stopped by enquiring for a gluten free packed lunch for day 2 of my southdowns way walk. The ladies were very friendly and accommodated for my dietary requirements with both sandwiches and cake. Really great tasting food and good selection. Would definitely pop in again on my next visit.

Lovely home made food right next door the Wishing Well Cottage where we were staying. We had been looking for somewhere to stop for lunch and found nothing before checking into the Cottage. It was just the job!
