Just off the A27 (be careful not to miss the turning) you'll find this delightful place in a mature garden hidden away from the busy world. Well worth a visit for light lunches and afternoon teas. Friendly and relaxed service with speciality scones (walnut and Stilton was terrific) and homemade cakes (lemon drizzle - excellent) will charm.

Worth hunting out.

Had not been here for many years and it is now under different ownership and has been tastefully refurbished without losing any character. We went on a very warm sunny day and had tea in the lovely gardens, but if the weather is not so good the tearoom itself is very welcoming and comfortable.
The tea menu is just what a traditional afternoon tea should be - a good range of homemade cakes and scones. The scones are particularly good ,we had fruit scones and they were delicious and arrived warm with plenty of jam and clotted cream.
The staff are excellent - welcoming and friendly and look after you very well.
Apart from teas, light meals are also available and there is an off road car park and they accept dogs in the gardens - not sure about the indoor part probably best to check.
So glad we made our visit and will return soon !

Visited the Wishing Well tearooms with my mum (79) and daughter (12) for a cream tea. We normally go to one of the hotels in Eastbourne, but fancied a trip out. Glad we did ..... lovely fresh bread, delicious homemade scones and coffee and walnut cake, all washed down with a refreshing pot of tea.

Great service too ..... nothing was too much trouble.

Will be back very soon!

Lovely cafe, food excellent, nice outside seating area, although situated on a main road so a little noisey. Service a little slow but the food made up for it.

Just off the main road though you wouldn't know. The garden is a lovely setting for a tea room. We like the garden best though tables inside are great out of season or when the weather is too poor for sitting out. Food was lovely, cream teas and cakes especially good. The biggest selection of fruit and herbal teas I've ever seen! Staff are helpful and friendly. This is a perfect place to while away an hour or two on a sunny afternoon.
