Description: This is not an ordinary chip shop. There is a lovely resturant or an old bus to dine in. In summer eat outside or by the canal.Childrens menu and wide range of meat pies and puddings available. The vanilla slices are great as wellaethe fruit pies All home made. All avilable with tea/coffee, bread and butter. Just go in the chp shop, order and the meal is brought to you at your table. The service is excellent. It is an experience to dine in the bus usually accompanied by 60s/70s music in the backgrund. The bus can be hired for private parties. The shop is open Mon. and Tues till 3.30pm and Wed.Thurs.and Fri. till 8pm. Not open Sat and Sun. It really is an experience (very good one), and well worth a visit. The place is spotless. We have been going many years now and there .are many regulars. I would recommend the chippy for a very enjoyable experience.

Called into this very welcoming restaurant and takeaway whilst visiting the local area.
The service was outstanding, the food, wow! I had the haddock and chips which was excellent.
All homemade pies, plus home made deserts. A must visit if you're anywhere in the location.

Went with my 13 year old daughter who has never been but has heard so much about their fish and chips. I ordered a cheese and onion pie and she ordered fish and chips. I was not happy with my pie because there was hardly any cheese but lots of onion. I complained to the young lady who was serving in the restaurant and she politely said she would talk to the someone. Another lady came and explained that occasionally some pies came through like that and apologised and offers to get me another or asked if I wanted something else. I opted for a chicken and mushroom pie instead. This was promptly delivered. The owner who was also the fryer also came out and asked if everything was ok and he also apologised. By this time I had lost my appetite so I only took a few bites. When the same young lady took our plates she put the remainder if my pie in a goody bag and brought to me, which I thought was very thoughtful seeing as I had not asked her to. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her fish and chips. Despite my debacle with the pie I would definitely go back the food is still brilliant and the service exceptional. The chicken pie was definitely the business

I don't know where else to leave this article other than this website.
Let me explain.
My sister and I set off for the day to visit this fish chip restaurant in Todmorden, which was a 35 mile round trip, . but when we arrived the place was closed.
There has been no notice given on their website to say, that the Fish Shop would be closed for The Staffs Holidays.
It would of been curtesy for the proprietors to let people know of the closure, after all people do come from out of town to visit.
