The tiny village of Vescovado-in-Murlo boasts a lovely small hotel with spacious rooms in the modern two-storey wing across the road from the main building. My friend and I shared #408 which had a king bed and a twin bed, both with firm mattresses. This room would suit a party of three easily. Most of the other rooms had a king bed that presumably could be rearranged as twin beds. The 4-piece bathroom - shower, bidet, toilet and sink - was a reasonable size and there was good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room was scrupulously clean! We were with a touring group that stayed at the hotel for a week. Breakfasts and dinners were provided by the hotel. The continental breakfasts had ample variety, including cereals, yoghurts, croissants and breads, fresh fruits in season (figs, watermelon, grapes, peaches, etc.), cold cuts and cheese and a great coffee machine. The dinners, consisting of the usual Italian 4 courses, featured local specialties and were delicious! Local wines were included in our package. The staff spoke good English and were warm and welcoming. It was a perfect spot for us to explore this part of Tuscany.
