We stayed in a 2 bedroom (one is a loft upstairs) with a living room with a sofabad to create a 3rd bedroom. This was a spacious and perfect arrangement in traveling with our 2 children (21 and 18). It was a separate building, just across from reception.
From the drive through the cyprus trees, to all the amenities, it is a magnificent hotel. Breakfast each morning was included (seated outside under an awning) and the selection was varied/tasty. Staff were all very helpful at the restaurant and throughout the hotel. Much of the faciliity can be seen in the movie, “Letters to Juliet”.
Wines were all very good. Never made it to the cellar. We did make use of the pool (there are 2) and the spa, which were very quiet and relaxing. Amazing views and I would definitely stay again. We had a rental car, which is necessary to get anywhere. Siena is about a 25 minute drive and all dinner reservations offsite, took us about 45 minutes to get to, along windy, dirt roads.
