We had a wonderful stay in Borgo Scopeto. The room was so comfortable and modern. The pool was quiet and the breakfast was stupendous. The hotel is brilliantly located to explore Tuscany.

We would not recommend the hotel restaurant as highly - there are nicer places to eat in the area.

We stayed at the Borgo Scopeto Relais in June 2017 and thought the hotel was very well located, the property was beautiful however the service was average. The rooms too could do with an upgrade as they do not befit the rest of the property. Overall thought it was overpriced and would not recommend it.

My wife and I returned to the USA a couple of weeks ago, and although we were glad to be home, our thoughts have drifted often to our lovely stay at Borgo Scopeto.

The setting is so idyllic, and the views from the borgo and our room were beautiful, beginning with the drive up the driveway that looks straight out of a movie set. Evening meals on the terrace, with views of Siena in the distance, were romantic and relaxing, the service attentive, and the food outstanding. It also helps to have many bottles available of the excellent Brunellos and the Misciano (riserva chianti) from the owners' vineyards!

All of the staff--from the restaurant to the front desk--were very professional and accommodating. We also received great ideas for day trips from the staff while we were there.

This time we came without the kids, but next time we will stay longer with the whole family.

Once again, thank you and your staff for your kind hospitality and excellent service while we stayed with you. We look forward to our return.

The hotel is set in a very picturesque part of Tuscany which was delightful. The food was excellent. However the service was really disappointing and not at all what you expect in a 4 star hotel. The other major disappointment was the fact that the hotel is so remote from any other restaurants and Siena. If you didn't want to eat at the hotel it is at least a twenty minute drive to the nearest restaurant. Lastly, their website is very misleading. It states that it is a "few" minutes from Siena. This is not accurate. It takes over twenty minutes in light traffic to drive to Siena plus time to find a parking space.
Tuscany is a wonderful holiday destination, which I felt was spoilt by our choice of hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony or veranda

It's a beautiful place to stay if u want to be close to Sienna and have a feeling of country side at the same time. Nicely renovated, amazing rooms, old feeling with new touch. U can explore the property with a bike which u can take for a ride.
View from the restaurant is stunning. u must try a dinner there, very classy, great service, wines from their own wineries re great.
Only one thing i think needs the improvement - breakfast. Situated in the country side, with all the fresh food possibilities, i think it needs seasonal fruit option to be better. Fruits were poorly displayed and yogurt could be from local farmers. Also the consistency about the coffee- one day asking for cappuccino we got nicely freshly prepared one and the flowing day it was done from the machine. In a property like this, with a lot of personal touches and good staff, breakfast should be more personal too, more local and more fresh. Maybe small selection but memorable.
