“Lovely house, and garden, excellent location.”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We have just returned from a 2 week stay here. The house is lovely, as is the garden area, the photos dont really do it justice. Good facilities, and good position, 10 mins walk to beach. Garden has a good barbeque, great hammocks and a good breeze in the afternoon. A great area for finding other beaches, Kolonnides, Tsapi, being two, plus half hour drive from Methoni. The owner is very hospitable, provide the essentials of wine, olives oil, fruit and water, and popped in after a few days to check all ok and bring ice creams! If you are here in the summer the local beach (Zaga) has loggerhead turtle nests, they are monitored everyday and you can go out with the volunteers in the morning (find their stand on Koroni seafront) a great opportunity to help these creatures. A restaurant with good greek food changing daily is Anna's Corner, on the square in Koroni.

“The most beautiful place, wish it was mine!”

we have just returned from a wonderful two weeks in this farm house. The owner has described it correctly, it is charming and totally idyllic !
The house is less than ten minutes walk from the sea, it is a lovely walk down hill with a magical view of the sea. The beach is clean , sandy, with lovely clear water . The walk back is ten minutes as its uphill ,but that means you have a view from the terrace !
It is an old farm house that has been renovated and you have everything you need , it is very well equipped and we were very happy , comfortable beds and plenty of hot water, air conditioning and a well equipped kitchen.
To go into koroni it is about 15 to 20 minutes walk ( once you find the short cut down into the town) there is a small shop within 10 minutes walk of the house where you can get bread etc . Some visitors commented on the access to the house , yes it is a bit narrow but we soon got used to it and it is only the entrance by the wall as you then drive up into the olive trees, plenty of room ! The problem of some rubbish was mentioned, yes there is a heap of old wooden doors etc that that lie below the terrace but it is not nasty smelling or full of old plastic bags . We spoke to the owner about it and he is negotiating to buy this small piece of land that the rubbish is on, so I think this will soon be sorted . This property is not ultra modern and has the other half of the old house still to be renovated but if you want true Greek peace and quiet , no noisy neighbours, lovely view , close to the beach and all for a very reasonable price them book it !
Now for our small criticisms, we wish the shower head was attached to the wall, you have to hold it in your hand, difficult when you are trying to shampoo your hair ! We taped it to the tiles and managed !
In the second bedroom once the very comfortable double bed is set up from being a single you cannot open the wardrobe doors. It is a very large wardrobe and we would have preferred a smaller one that would have given some space to open the doors and drawers fully. These are minor problems compared to having a beautiful terrace with hammocks swinging in the olive trees , a built in barbecue, flowers , tables and plenty of space, all so lovely..
Sotiris greeted us with wine, his lovely olive oil, and a genuine offer of help at any time. He replied to our emails promptly and sent excellent directions for getting to the property. We will definitely be booking this farm house again

“Nichori house review”

We decided to take a late summer break to this unspoilt part of the Greek Peloponnese and used Trip Advisor to locate a suitable base for our holiday. We chose Villa Nichori as it looked ideal for our needs and it suited our holiday budget. The booking was easy and the owner met us at Kalamata Airport as promised, which we found really helpful even though we have visited the region a number of times. The Villa is well maintained with just about everything you could think of in brand new condition. The owner showed us around and made us feel very much at home. He also took time to ensure that we were comfortable and was very helpful. He also took the time to visit us to ensure we had no problems or issues. The villa has a lovely view out over the sea and down to the local Zaga Beach, which we enjoyed very much. Even though the weather was not too good we very much enjoyed being around the Villa. Without being negative we found access to the Villa a little difficult and if you arrived in any vehicle larger than a small family saloon then it would be most difficult gaining access, which is through a very small gap in a stone wall off a very narrow road. Once negotiated a few times it became easier, but it was very muddy during the heavy rainstorms, which gave the car hire company something of a challenge when the vehicle was returned thick with mud. However, in typical Greek style it was no problem despite our stress. All in all if you are looking for a really nice little villa at the heart of the local community at a reasonable rate this would be the place for you. We had the impression that the owner is looking to make some improvements during the winter season in particular to the surrounding grounds. Although set within a beautiful olive grove we found some of the scrap wood, furniture and other assembled items rather unfortunate, but we have good reason to believe that the owner intends to remove the items, which will make a massive improvement to the view out over the sea. Overall we would certainly recommend this lovely little villa, we cannot fault the property in any way.
