Absolutely lovely 3+ star family run hotel. Staff amazing. Comfortable room with amazing sea view. Food was excellent always too much choice and really fresh! Location great, away from the built up, noisy town. Safe cove for swimming. Be prepared for the Russian tourists who come from surrounding hotels to use the sandy safe beach (all beaches in Cyprus are public) but they leave at lunchtime and come back tea time.

Having just returned from the Mimosa Beach i can definitely say we would return. As a family holiday with grandchildren it was great for a laid back time plenty choice from buffet every meal swapped a couple of times for lunch not a problem as the previous comments bar was quite pricey. Owners & staff very friendly & helpful nothing to much bother.

Room Tip: All rooms look like they have decent views we were on opposite sides of new rooms sea view from both...

Travelling as a single parent always a worry... no need at this little peace of tranquility at its best ... beautiful Cyprus. Beach front ideal for kids snorkelling. The pool is lovely and clean, with a lovely bar serving good standard food.

This is a very tight run ship. Attention to detail, nothing too much trouble, owners on hand 24/7. Staff work really hard, no complaints always a smile.

Food was lovely no complaints.

Wifi available in the room at a reasonable price... free in the balcony lounge.

If you want a party place this is not for you ... if you want to switch off book it !,,,

Would not hesitate in recommending mimosa to anyone .. thank you for a lovely holiday.

Having not been on holiday for nearly 6 years we needed a break.
This hotel was what we needed.
The food is good and there was always something to eat (I'm a fussy eater).
The room was a little small for three of us (My wife, 21 year old daughter and myself).
It was in the old building but on the ground floor but could not be faulted. It was cleaned and re-toweled everyday.
I agree with a previous comment that the bar prices are a very high and our late evening treat one night cost €20 (2 double Baileys). The supermarket up the road had a 1 litre bottle at €15.99.
Would we go again? yes, we would but Protaras strip would be visited more often.
It's a short taxi drive and is only €7/8.

We went to the Mimosa Beach Hotel as a last minute deal, looked nice enough in the pictures.. so why not!
We were not disappointed, we were in the new part which was done to a high standard. The decor was very fitting to the rest of the hotel and just worked!
The hotel itself was spread out over spacious grounds which also had its own cove beach at the bottom of the path.. for all it looks small.. it was never over crowded.
The owners of the hotel are always on site and mix with the guests if you want to...personally I thought that was a lovely touch, they really value their hotel but your holiday.

Food was really good and always a good selection, we exchanged for a packed lunch one day and often an afternoon bar menu giving you a three course meal during the day as opposed to evening meal, this gives you the freedom to go out and about on the night and eat.
Drinks are probably average prices to a bar in England, but higher than your local pub.
All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and on talking to an ex pat, he told me his daughter used to work in the hotel and was treat very well, when she came back from England was hoping to get a job there again.

The hotel itself was set just outside of Protaras but for me was a perfect location to explore, you could walk into protaras but was a good 30 minute walk, a taxi was averaging €8, car hire wasn't badly priced.
Lots of trips and excursions to do, we tried the underwater walking, feeding the fish which was a must for any underwater novices, also the boat trips are very good value too...at around €20 each for 2-3 hours with food and drink.

I would definitely return and to the same hotel, which coincidentally is what a lot of the guests do, some have been returning for over 20 years.
The Hotel was more suited to couples and families with younger children... not sure it would of been my 19 year olds cup of tea as not much to do on an evening in the hotel, but my 8 year old had a ball.

9/10 ❤️
