Javri is a truly remarkable experience - the beautiful location, activities, staff, facilities, guest rooms, ambience, and cuisine were all wonderful. The Lodge is truly in a class of its own and sets a standard that is unmatched in the area. The service is so personal that it feels like being in a home rather than a hotel. There are not enough superlatives to describe our visit.

This is truly a fantastic hotel that you will never forget. It's located in a small village in Saariselka, Finland about 30 mins from Ivalo, Airport. Located in a winter wonderland!! Just fabulous!! The hotel is owned by a very warm, friendly, hospitble couple that could not have been nicer. You feel that you are staying in a friends house.

The hotel is spotless with very comfortable rooms. They have excellent Wifi but no TVs which we did not miss for a second. The beds are very comfortable and they have a lovely Sauna and Pool area.

The food was amazing. Dinners are 5-7 courses and you would not find better food in Paris or Berlin. They also were able to accommodate another couple that eats Gluten Free and we are vegetarians.

The "activity team" Tomi and Jana are so friendly, professional and knowledgable. They make things fun but yet always make sure you are safe. These are the types of people you want around you if you are lost in a snow storm. They took us to see the Northern Lights and Snowmobiling. Just great guys. Nothing you ask them is too much.

We loved loved loved the hotel and will definitely be back as soon as we can.

Room Tip: We had one of the newer Suites and it was fabulous

I stayed at this luxury lodge for 2 nights while visiting Lapland...and it was simply amazing! Everything from the staff to the service to the food to the accommodations was PERFECT! This boutique resort is small so everything feels more intimate & attention to detail is beyond expectations. There is nothing the staff won't do to ensure your stay is as memorable as possible! The food was also incredible, all meals prepared using local ingredients & on par with Michelin star restaurants I have visited! I was blown away!! If you want to spoil yourself with an unforgettable experience in Lapland stay at this hidden gem!! Thank you to everyone at Javri Lodge for such an amazing time!

Javri is a small and luxury lodge, which made it feel like a personal trip. I strongly recommend staying long enough to experience as many activities as possible - this also gives more of a chance to see the Northern Lights. The staff had worked out our timetable perfectly so that we had an activity a day and never needed to worry about how to get there ourselves. The staff are extremely friendly, and we got to know them very well. At first i did think that the dinner portions were rather small - even a 5 course meal doesn't leave you feeling full. Having said that, there isn't much opportunity for excersize (there is no gym, and cross country skiing or walking in the snow are the only active options) so perhaps the smaller portions are a good thing. The pool and sauna add another dimension though I do think the lodge would benefit from having the possibility of massages for the guests - in such a beautifully quiet and idyllic spot it would seem ideal. The dinners were delicious, full of local produce (Reindeer featured strongly in our week, but they cater for all allergies and diets etc). The communal table worked well for us, but if you want to eat alone or more privately this might not work so well.Thank you to Javri for an unforgettable experience!

Room Tip: Ask for one of the two suites

aside from all the usual things like cleanliness and good wifi, the standard of service is intimate and personal, and the interior design and it's connection to the immediate environment is absolutely spectacular. i have not experienced such simple luxury - from the saunas and the fireplaces to the outstanding views from every corner of this place.
the food is amazing in its simplicity. high quality activities are included. every bit of money spent (which is not cheap) is worth it if you want to enjoy the winter without roughing it.
i feel so lucky to have experienced such beauty from the space itself to the proximity in which it stands.
however, more importantly, all staff are very genuinely kind, caring and personable, which was worth more than anything else for me as i was very ill with the flu when i arrived.
