We stayed here with santas Lapland and were not disappointed. The hotel was clean, warn and welcoming. The shower was hot and the beds were so comfortable. The food on both nights was great, something for everyone. The resort itself was gorgeous, fab supermarket and nice bars. The activities were amazing and we will cherish those memories forever! Brilliant holiday already looked at booing for next year!

We just spent 5 nights at the Gielas wing. Everything was wonderful!

I could not get a room in gielas wing when booking online. Upon arrival, I asked front desk if there is room available in gielas, the lady let me know there will be additional charge. She suggested that we check out the 1BR apartment in the old building as well as the junior suite in gielas and decide where we want to stay. Once we decided to take the upgrade to gielas, she called housekeeping and asked them to speed up the cleaning. We really appreciated her help!

Kaltio restaurant in Gielas has the best burgers we've ever had, juicy, tasty, both the pork and reindeer burger. It serves lunch from 2-6pm, nice spot for a quick lunch bite

Breakfast buffet has plenty options

Housekeeping is very basic, so we tried to keep our room clean

Location is great! In my opinion, this is better than town center. Gielas to very close to the toboggan slope. We took so many pictures from our patio facing the forest

So glad we stayed at Gielas. Beautiful hotel, friendly service, convenient location, so glad we stayed here!

firstly i would like to say thank goodness i didn't listen to some of the reviews on here.

we booked with santas lapland and it was a surprise for the kids, we stayed over Christmas. firstly we were given our keys on the coach (excellant idea no queing for check in with excited children).
we were taken by coach to pick up our thermals first, again excellant service. then we were taken to our hotel. we were in one of the old Blocks and i was surprised after some reviews how nice it was, the room was clean warm, and enough space for 2 adults a 15 yr old whos 6 foot and a ten year old, there is a fridge and tv, a haidryer and enough sockets for all your electricals.
we dropped our stuff off, put our thermals on, and went for dinner, if you cant find anything to eat here, then there is something wrong with you not the hotel, we had on offer the first night,a choice of starters from soup, pate salad, cooked meats, fish and pasta. mains were turkey and beef with vegetables or bolognese and pasta, or a vegetable ratatuoille, kids were hot dogs, meatballs nuggets and chips, afters were crackers and cheese with grapes, cakes and angel delight, the child on the next table to us had a dairy allergy, they did everything they could to help. the gala dinner was wonderfull and so was the christmas day meal,
the search for sant day is the most magical day ever, and i will not spoil it on here you can message me if you have any questions. the tobogan run is about a ten minute walk and is amazing we had so much fun sledging, dont worry about paying for sledges these are free. the little town itself is lovely, do take an hour or 2 to walk around it, theres a lovely little local pub(cheaper than the hotel), a supermarket, and you might even spot santa's office.

my only negative is the price of drinks, water being the cheapest at 1 euro a glass, however 5 euros for a coke, lemonade or sprite is ridiculous, and nearly 7 euros for a pint ouch!!!

i loved every minute of this trip, just remember you dont go on holiday to sit in your room, i would go back every year if i could afford.

Room Tip: normal rooms were fine.

Stayed at the Tunturi as part of Santa's Lapland and wow what an experience, from leaving the airport to returning home it was the best experience. The hotel is in a great position in Saariselka, just up the road from the hotel is various bars and restaurants with a supermarket about 10 minutes away. We stayed in room 285 which was modern with comfortable beds, kitchenette and bathroom. The food was delicious with plenty of choice each meal but I would recommend getting there for when the restaurant is first open. I would highly recommend Santa's Lapland and the Tunturi to anyone.

Stayed here as part of a Santas Lapland holiday. Our room was in one of the older blocks but we were pleasantly surprised. The bedroom was a great size, kitchen/diner never fully used but a good resource to have and sauna in the shower room just rocked. It was a nice space. The t.v didn't receive much but to be honest we weren't there to watch tv! Breakfast was ok. There is something for everyone to eat. One day I found it really nice with lots i liked and the next day not so much but still there was always something. The two 'two slice' toasters in the restaurant for all those guests still makes me chuckle. Evening meals were ok too. I enjoyed the night we had buffet style food as a family rather than the gala dinner but again there was something for everyone. I know in other reviews the food gets slated. If you are going based on the food then you may not want to make this your first choice but we were out and about so much and the food was secondary to everything else so we didn't mind so much. The only meal hyped up was the gala dinner. If you are going on a trip like ours the gala dinner could be a little disappointing (buffet style, massive queues, too many people and kicked out in less than 2 hours) The hotel was fine and did the job. It is in a stunning place about 20 mins from the airport.
