On the other side of the road to the sea front but shouldn't be missed. Small menu but food is fresh delicious and filling and staff are very helpful. A great spot to take in the atmosphere of this quiet beautiful town. I love speightstown and always try to visit when I'm on the island and will now include lunch at island plates when I do

Love stopping here for lunch when we are in Speightstown. The food is always so fresh and tasty. They kids love it too. The service is always with a smile and the chickens and rooster roaming around is a nice authentic Caribbean ouch. Can't wait to soon come back!

The service was great, was asked to wait 5 minutes for my lunch and got it in 2 minutes. Both sisters were helpful and made sure I was comfortable and enjoyed my stay. Nice cappuccino as well, I must definitely visit again.

A delightful little cafe in Town Square, run by Barbadian sisters Marie & Pat. Virtually all dishes are prepared to order, but are well worth waiting for.

The food, prepared from fresh local produce, is healthy cuisine attractively presented, tantalisingly tasty, and served in generous portions. Both sisters interact with customers, and so service is welcoming, responsive and courteous.

Island plates is run by sisters Pat and Marie who work tirelessly to make your experience wonderful. Their food is fresh and delicious and different from the staples you get everywhere else in Barbados. Their breakfasts are great. Especially the pita pocket and I personally love their banana porridge.
