We had the great pleasure to stay at this homestay on the cham island. We were picked up by Bui (or mama Kim) from the main village of the cham islands. The homestay is located in a idealistic village. The homestay is very clean, tidy and well-organised. The boss of the home, Bui, is a caring and loving host. She did everything in her abilities to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
With a translation sheet we made arrangements to do day trips. On one of these day trips, we went snorkeling. After breakfast, we were delivered to the neighbour (relative) of mama Kim. He took us on a boat tour where we could see the beautiful underwater world of the cham islands.
The very best part of our stay at Island Smiles homestay was the cooking of Bui, she is a lovely cook. Who prepares all the meals well in advanced. We ate one of our best meals here during our stay in Vietnam.
We liked that organisation of this homestay was done by her daughter Kim who manages the homestay from Hoi An. She speaks perfect English and helps you get to the island. If like us, you like the local experience we highly recommend staying at Island Smiles homestay.
Dear Kim if you read this, keep up the good work!
Love from the Netherlands,
Dear fellow travellers,
We spent two nights at Island Smiles Homestay and I have to say it was the best decision we have made while travelling Viet Nam.
Everything was incredibly well organised. Kim, the owner, contacted us two days before our arrival and she speaks very good english so it was very easy to communicate. Her mom, Bui, came to pick us up at the main ferry arrival in Bai Lang. Then we took a second boat to Bai Huong with Bui to go to the homestay.
We were delighted to be there. The house is very clean and new as well as the sheets, the bathroom is functional, and most important the food Bui cooked for us was incredibly delicious!
We really enjoyed ourself at this homestay, we felt at home. Bui is such a loving person, she took care of us very very well.
I would like to thank you Kim and Bui (also called "Mama Kim") for being so helpful during our stay on beautiful Cham island.
Lastly, I would recommend this homestay to everyone who is willing to learn about the real vietnamese culture and lifestyle.
