House has real character and Agde is full of life in August. Owner very generously allows use of their bikes which are great to get to the coast to swim. Our second visit to the property and would come again.
We had a wonderful time in Agde. We both feel extremely fortunate to have had your lovely house as a base. It was everything that your listing promised and more. We found it very beautiful and comfortable and we were constantly surprised by how well equipped it was, from beach mats to tourist information, which made it even easier to enjoy our holiday.
We got constant sunshine, plenty of swimming, fishing, kayaking, jet-skiing and cycling; as well as lovely food and drink. The markets were also brilliant – the food market in particular has really mushroomed since I was last there in 2002.
Thank you for everything.

We stayed a week in this fantastic renovated fishermans cottage. What attracted us most was the roof top terrace which was delightful, a great place to relax, have a meal and a few beers. The highlight was watching dusk fall across the tiled rooftops and the birds settle for the night. The house itself is well furnished with all the facilities you will need for a comfortable stay, no wi fi though (not really a problem for us). The open spiral stairs take a little getting used to, children will need to be watched carefully and it may be challenging for people with mobility difficulties. The house is situated in the old centre of Agde a warren of charming alleyways and small squares which give it a sense of character. There is a delightful mix of locals, tourists, small artisan traders and artists. The property is close to a supermarket, two patisseries some nice restaurants and also has markets on a Wednesday Thursday and Sunday. It is less than ten minutes walk from the railway station and not far from the canal du midi. The local beach (Grau d'Agde) can be accessed by foot, bicycle, bus and boat. We had a great time, plenty to do and really enjoyed the ambience of an unspoilt Southern French town. We would definitely stay again.
