“All Under One Roof”

While some thing it is beautiful and gorgeous some will maintain that it is fake and gaudy. I think it is somewhere in between. Whatever it is, be prepared for your senses to be overwhelm, from the sights and sounds of this huge (somewhat confusing?) complex/resort. It is literally swarming with people and the cacophony of sounds and voices (China nationals tend to talk VERY loudly, no offence intended, and multiplied this thousands of times and you get the picture.) can be very jarring. The room is beautiful, but the towels and bathrooms like some reviewers mentioned is already long past its shelf lives and ought to be replaced. The pillows are too soft for my liking and they don't provide adequate support. The shopping is plentiful but they don't come cheap. The entertainment options are plentiful. The casino itself is huge and though crowded, one can always find a place at a table or machine. Despite the tight crackdown by the security, the place is still swarming with young hookers, blatantly giving out their phone numbers or even coming up close and ask if you like to 'go out' with them. The trick is to avoid eye contact with them and they will leave you alone. It can be quite amusing watching the cat and mouse game played out between them and the security staff. If you are looking for a spot of evening entertainment and trying your luck at the tables is your cup of tea, the place doesn't disappoint. The complimentary shuttle bus services is a huge plus and it bring you anywhere from the airport to the ferry terminal to the city itself, if you know how to hop from one hotel bus to another. The front line office staff are efficient and proactive and they seem to be able to anticipate your every need. For example while waiting for our room to be ready, the porters already approached us, took our bags for storage and sent the bags up to our room within 15 minutes of us taking over the room key. When checking out, they automatically load our bags up the shuttle bus and they don't stand around waiting to be tipped. I was a bit slow for the trip home and by the time I bring out my monies, they have moved on to serve other guests. I am impressed. My only 'complain' is the lack of English speaking staff or even Mandarin (I can still get by with a smattering of Mandarin). For a 5 star hotel that sees many tourists from all over the place, having staff that predominantly only speak and understand Cantonese is not very tourist friendly.

booked last minute with the hotel for a weekend stay.
This hotel is really huge! one good thing about it is that there is a electronic map locator every 500 yards. but the thing is, it keeps on pointing the long way.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere except on limited areas on the casino floor.
Shopping is one thing that you can do inside the hotel, there are a lot of brand name stores and duty free shopping stores inside the hotel. but they're not 24 hrs, so nothing to do at 3am, except play in the casino.
The room was nice and clean, but a bit worn, but i didnt expect it to be brand new, so my expectation of the room was not that high.
Food choices are limited to asian cuisine. Try the local food, like the portuguese baked chicken, it's really tasty.
Most of the Hotel Staff (front desk, baggage, housekeeping, concierge, business center) are very courteous and helpful. but I dont like the staff in the restaurants (esp cafe deco restaurant and fatburger), they're arrogant and rude, and they tend to ignore you unless you look caucasian, then it's a different story.
There are also a lot of tour groups starting at around10am until 5pm, it gets very noisy and crowded by then.

Room Tip: request for south side and odd numbered room for a better view and near the elevator

If you want a 5 star hotel at Australian 4 star rating prices then look no further than this metropolis in Asia's answer to Vegas: MACAU!
I stayed in this giant in September 2011, the second time at this amazing place and my third time in Macau! There is nothing more brilliant than being in this hotel! The rooms are fit for a king and the surrounding views of mainland China to the left and the South China Sea to right bring you back to the reality that this is not a desert resort! The size of the complex is monstrous and you could be confident in not having to leave for 24 hours. The absolute musts are: giant panda house (10 mins by cab); the gondola ride, the old town over the bridge and Cafe Deco which is inhouse. Will definitely sty here again for my next trip!!

Room Tip: Per book on the website to take advantage of the various packages offered by this hotel. You won'...

Huge and big Rooms. we stayed in Cotai view Bella suite, which is in two level. The towels and toiletries are of inferior quality. The towels are worn out and are not of quality to use. Same goes for the bath robe. they are in pathetic state.
Its a colossal and gigantic hotel, with lots of shopping arcades, cafes, restaurants, and the biggest & best casino in macau. You will definitely get lost atleast more than once during your stay, We got lost twice in 24Hrs. Its in Taipa Island, you can take a evening stroll in the famous Cotai Strip and enjoy the views( My personal advice is to stay in Macau main Island )If this Hotel is Huge then GALAXY next Door is mountainous, astronomical and giant of a Hotel and deinitely more breathtaking.
The work on the Ceilings in Venetian is a work of Art. It is great to see. The kids are going to enjoy the Gondola Ride and Ladies the shooping. Must buy is the Cookies, cakes & biscuits from the bakery at the western Lobby.
Do not wait for Taxis, it is not only time consuming but expensive too. Venetian has got the largest fleet of Shuttle bus services in Macau. And no doubt they are in best quality.
They have got lovely swimming pools( again huge and 3 or 4 or 5 pools....?? maybe more). But the Pools are well maintained, very clean. Caution : You will take atleast 30 - 40 minutes to reach the Pool from your Room in the 20th Floor. (but worth the walk).
Remember : Checkin was very smooth, they gave us an early checkin at 10:00am, Check in from the Main Lobby. At the time of Checkout, Do not wait for anybody for taking the luggage to lobby, they will take about an hour to reach your room, and another hour to reach the lobby with your luggage. we took our Luggage ourselves and walked all the way to the reception on the western lobby and was out of Venetian in 25 - 30 min.Checkout from the Western Lobby, it is near to departure point of all the Shuttle Buses.
We ordered Indian food at 3:30am, it was delicious and authentic, the service was quite prompt(30min).and served in a very stylish manner at that time of the night too.(did not expected such an authentic Indian Veg Food).
Everybody Must Try once.

Room Tip: ask for cotai view rooms in the higher floor, away from the lift and ctaircase area.

It was not the Venetian I had imagined of. It was more like the Chinese version of Venice, with Chinese people :) everywhere and it was quite noisy. The rooms are nice but not soundproof, we can hear people talking and walking in the hallway all night long. But it was a great place to stay with all the dining options and great shopping. Next time we will surely stay in Wynn or MGM for it's proximity to the city.
