Stumbled across playa de Mogan when pursuing a TripAdvisor restaurant lead (Cuba58 - excellent). A very nice little town with a small beach. Lots of little shops and cute architecture. Very touristy for sure but certainly charming. If we come back to Gran Canaria I would definitely look for a place around there.

I have noticed In some reviews that the distance from Toronto to Mogan is stated to be half a km. That is as the crow flies. To get up to date I would advise everyone that does not know that the shortest route to Mogan , which is the road above the Princess Hotel, collapsed into the sea in November 2017 and now you have to go by a series of buses. The total distance is now approximately 12km.

Mogan is a very pretty village . Fridays they have a large market which brings in a lot of tourists. Its easy walking distance from the ferries or water taxis. So much to see and do. Plenty of bars and restauants

Smelled like sewer in mornings. Grey sand. Is it safe to take a bath here when hotels are dumping sewer in the sea?
