Absolutely fab! Glad to find such a treasure surrounded by average pubs. Delicious food, friendly staff. Definitely coming back on the next trip! Highly recommended.

We walked past here a few nights ago and were encouraged to go in with the promise of “the best food in town”. We had already agreed to go elsewhere but duly visited tonight and were convinced of a treat. We should have been worried by the fact that we were the only ones eating at the time and were still the only ones there when we left.

We ordered 4 x calamari rings for starters only to subsequently find out they only had 3 portions available - interesting as it didn’t seem to be busy enough to have been sold out! These duly came and whilst they were nice, they were far too perfectly shaped to be anything other than frozen. The garlic mushrooms that’s made up the final starter were swimming in a pool of boiling oil making them both hard to serve to me and even harder to eat - I had to take them all out to let them cool down to eat them. Three of us then had “homemade fish and chips”. The chips were very basic oven chips and the fish was something I’d expect to buy in the bargain isle in Iceland! It was served with “grilled vegetables” which turned out to be half a dozen chopped up pieces of raw pepper and a salad leaf. The best bit was the homemade tartare sauce which did appear to be homemade. The prawn salad that we also had was certainly not worth the €14 price tag with only 5 prawns and not much actual salad. The whole bill of €100 really did not seem good value for money.

I did not have the intention of leaving a negative review given the place is relatively new and it is a very competitive arena so as to give them a fighting chance. That was until we left and we spoken to by the man employed to get people sat in the restaurant to see how we enjoyed our meal. His initial first reaction to our discontent (even though he had blatantly lied to us) was to tell us the suggestions he had made in terms of the menu choices but then very quickly turned to implying that our opinions were simply not valid. No apology was offered and we were simply told to “enjoy our day”.

We clearly have very different opinions on what the “best food in town is” given we have eaten in almost every restaurant in this district and this was one of, if not the worst meal we have had but even taking that into account, the attitude demonstrated when we voiced our dissatisfaction clearly showed why the place remains empty.

I was very surprised to find the current average review score when I logged on here which suggests that this may be isolated but I can guarantee I will never step foot in here again!

Stopped here for cocktails but our margaritas were that strong they may as well have been just tequila. The staff were good though and it’s a nice little bar, didn’t try the food so can’t comment.

Dined here twice as food was very good and wines too. Menu was varied, flavoursome food and was well presented by friendly waiters. Light music complimented this restaurant so will return again.

Nicest place comparing with others around. Good quality of the food, friendly staff, high standarts of the hospitality for the clients. Good luck!
