“Vierville-sur-mer”
Reviewed 30 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We stayed in Ingrid's lovely property for one week. There was plenty of room for all four of us, even though you had to walk passed the one double bed to get to the toilet. Personally we loved the funny angled ceiling beams, and spiral staircase. The kitchen was well equiped and functional. With a local shop within 200m and the beach 500m, the property is well situated, with only a short half hour drive to the main D-Day beaches, such as Sword beach. I have only one small bad thing to say, and that is not about the property itself, but the steps down to the parking area. They are slippy and covered with moss and foliage. Overall very pleasent. Thanks

If you are looking for a quaint house a stroll away from Omaha beach & Museums, this is the house to choose.
Our stay was absolutely brilliant and it's only a car trip away to other D-Day beaches.
The owner was very helpul and responded promptly to all our queries

“Great place to stay and fantastic location.”

My family and I stayed for a week in this house, it's well equipped with everything you would really need for a holiday and includes towels and bedding. The village the house is in is small and quiet but does have a good local shop and there are a couple of other places within walking distance where you can pick up ready made food. The location of the house is perfect for the beach front, it's a five minute walk - the beach itself is vast and sandy with a shallow slope and sand bars which was great for our children. The village itself featured heavily in D-Day and there are many reminders within walking distance. a car will allow you easy access to Bayeaux(10 minutes), Caen (25 minutes), as well as all the historical sites in that part of Normandy. We drove down to Mont St Michel in 1.5 hours from the house as the road network is good in this area. I would recommend the house and the area to anyone looking to holiday in France.

“A great place”

A great location for those who are interested in the D-Day beaches - and even if you're not. Not really recommended for those who have a problem with stairs as access to the upper floor is by way of a spiral staircase, but that is made clear on the details of the property, which is well equipped. We would certainly return to this property.
