A very unique experience spending a few days including Christmas Day on this island with only a handful of other people. The hosts on the island Bec, Andrew (incredibly talented young couple) and Enrique welcomed us to our private beachside safari tent, ensured that we settled into enjoying crystal waters, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets showcasing glorious marine life THEN prepared the most beautiful meals including a Christmas lunch to remember. All the while Mother Nature provided the most idyllic surrounds. We felt like we had the island to ourselves but for the five star service of Bec, Andrew and Enrique. Just magic !!!

Visiting Wilson island is a privilege .
To witness nature at its best has a healing effect and for a few days you can forget the hum drum of human life.
To watch the green turtles haul themselves onto the beach to lay their eggs or to observe the noddy turns busily building a nest lightens the heart and gives you a sense of pure joy.
Bec and Andrew are a couple who ensure your stay is faultless. Andrew is a talented chef and Bec is the consummate host , they both have the ability to make your stay seamless.
Kat the coordinator and Kevin the project manager also should be praised and last but certainly not least is Les, the good man who makes sure everything is well maintained and keeps an eye on out for Mother Nature.
See you all next year.

This is a unique experience.
Imagine camping where all you have to do is relax and be pampered by your 2 Island host's who:
Cook for you
Make your bed
Take you out snorkelling to see Turtles/Coral/Tropical Fish/Rays
It is Glamping and this = no private facilities, however the amenities block is a short walk away and they as you would find in a good hotel with Fresh Towels and luxurious soap products.
Wi Fi is available on request however no phone cover is available.
This is a one of a kind experience and a must see for people that love wildlife and the many birds that visit during the season and the nesting Turtles.

Room tip: Each room has a name and ours was "Reflection" very private and has nice shade-our choice for our next visit.

The island has superior natural beauty, wildlife and surrounding reef. Andrew and Bec couldn't have been better hosts. Andrew prepared 5 star meals. The tent accomodation is great and the beds were extremely comfortable. Andrew and Bec were excellent guides while snorkling this amazing reef. They even organised a frisky green turtle to greet us. I will return.

Room tip: Wilson Island only allows 18 people max. All tents are well located. However, some are closer to the dining room and bathrooms.

Never in my life have I experienced something like this.

A small island, on the middle of the Great Barrier Reef, no more than 8 other couples, designer reef safari luxury accommodation overlooking the water, food to absolutely die for, amazing wine and spirits, privacy ... I can just go on and on. When we were there Wilson Island had just opened so there were just 2 couples. Even more private!

Seriously, this is world best.

The bird life is phenomenal, the snorkeling is some of the best you will see anywhere. Watching the massive turtles on the beach is breathtaking. Swimming through the marine life takes your breath away. The coral is beautiful, colourful and so, so plentiful - the Great Barrier Reef is definitely alive! Walking on the beach watching the little marine is so cool. Watching sunset with a glass of champagne is bliss.

We were looked after so well from the moment we were dropped off on the beach by boat from Heron Island. 2 hosts who are there to look after you as much or as little as you want. These stunning tents with private deck overlooking the water are so luxurious it’s not funny. Lots of little touches to make our stay special. Fully sustainable on solar power, every single thing is eco-friendly. It’s perfect.

We loved Wilson Island. And will be back before the world discovers this amazing, unique destination. It truly is a 5 Star experience.

Wow.
