It is a real shame what has happened to this place, not because of the place it self, but because some people without any consideration decided to open a "Events Garden" JUST NEXT TO IT called DICALARA which should be spelled DICKalara in honour to their owners who show no signs of decency nor knowledge of what Pie de la Cuesta was known for, that is a quiet place where people would come to relax and that's what put this place on the map.
The volume and selection of the music they were playing all fricking night was as loud as annoying, not to mention the fact they also include fireworks that not only made our babies jump startled but made every single dog in the hotel go crazy scared.
We would really have appreciated if the management would have let us know things had changed this way so we could've chosen another place where to stay for the holidays instead of dealing with this.
To be fair, the place it self is the same it has always been... The next door neighbour is what's simply not tolerable if you are as unlucky as we were.
A piece of advice, you should ask when making your reservation if the Garden next door is hosting an event for you to better avoid the whole thing.

Went there to spend a day outside the city of Acapulco. This is a short drive, but feels a world apart. Beach runs forever, and the waves were pounding.
This little resort is right on the water, with cute decor and many little places to sit in the shade or the sun. There is an open air restaurant, little lounge-y type seating areas, palapas on the beach with hammocks, and loungers by the pool with umbrellas.
Spent some time under a palapa with some cold drinks.
To cool off, we went in there funky little pool, and sat at the pool-bar. A little more lounging, and we were ready for something to eat. The food was delicious, and one of the better "beach-side" restaurants I have been to.
the place was busy - almost every every space was occupied. So at times the service was pressed, but always friendly.
If you are looking to get away and relax, I would highly recommend!

I've visited many times over the years. I have posted in the Vayma Acapulco section but as we all know Hacienda Vayma is in Pie de la cuesta which is about a 30 min drive from the Fiesta Americana where I usually stay.

Vayma is a terrific boutique hotel in a very laid back and peaceful village. It's located beachfront about 1/2 Mike off the main road next to tres marias.

The pool is terrific here along with a great swim up bar which gets alot of use from my friends yearly. The pizzas are very good usually terrific but something was missing this year. They seemed thinner crusted then in the last. Still we go for the ambiance being on the open pacific with the waves crashing while enjoying a nice cocktail in one of the palapas on the playa or swimming around their pool.

I've never stayed at this hotel but the grounds are gorgeous and if you want to get away from it all this place is perfect. Don't expect creature comforts this is fairly rustic room wise.

As a business frequent traveler 5 stars hotels become your second home and when taking time off other things count. For my personal style, comfort, friendly attention (no fake smiles), good food and relaxing atmosphere is my close to home getaway destination

Vayma has been my getaway for more than a decade. I've come in party mood and I've found beach club ambient, I've stayed in romantic mood sharing for sure best Acapulco's sunsets and I've stayed in family style. You can find them all but be careful to choose the appropriate time: Vayma is associated to MX city working schedule, long weekend in MX city means partying in Vayma.

No tv, no phone at rooms is ok, should have WiFi. Most rooms have AC, the low price have fan. Cocktail pool and ambient music day and nights are great.

Founded and still owned by Parwin a south California expat that most of times will at least bring you a welcoming smile. If you happen to be frequent you may have a glass of wine.

It is all about styles but for me this place is a mix of California mood in Mx.

Located on the beach, somewhere in the zones of Acapulco (ensure you catch a taxi !!!).

Sit on the sand, each fresh seafood at reasonable prices (not cheap but very reasonable ).

Service is very efficient, very precise and really honest - the Maitre' D told us if something was from yesterday and was never trying to 'sell'. An honest man....

Food was great. I had whole fish, it was really very good. My friends enjoyed a variety of other dishes.

Very relaxed ambience.

The prices are similar to other places of the same quality. It's actually a great place to eat, drink and listen to the waves roll in.

Recommended.
