This lovely boutique hotel is updated and well-located for those attending courses at Augusta Westland. The staff treated me like family and greeted me by name whenever I went in or out. Very nice breakfast and dinner options. Highly recommend.

A very friendly hotel with great views in the centre of the village of Sesto Calende. It is clean and the food is of a good quality. The village has some nice restaurants and it is close enough to Milan without being in a city type environment.

The hotel is perfectly located above the Ticino river, right after the outlet of Lago Maggiore (Maggiore Lake).
It is a nice base camp to visit the Italian regions of Piedmont and Lombardy.

The owners make you feel at home in a family atmosphere.
The phone booking then the check-in experience proved very efficient and friendly.

The rooms are organized around an atrium with a large table and sofas to welcome private gathering under a glass roof.
My room was above a very small alley, small room but well fitted.

I enjoyed the fine dinner at restaurant as well as the nice breakfast buffet.
Among guests are a lot of helicopter pilots who celebrate their certification in a nearby flight training centre, which creates a lively atmosphere.

The only issues I can raise are about the difficulty to park cars in this small city centre (pay parking) and the outside noise.
The bridge above Ticino river is including a railway track and one can hear the trains day & night.
The customers of the enacoteca (wine house), pubs & bars around the hotel are staying late at night and I could hear the crowd's cheers and roar long after midnight.
The windows are not soundproof and are not filtering the laughs & roar: I was obliged to use ear plugs.

Tre Re is neveRtheless the best hotel in town and a good address.

Room tip: Get a room over Ticino river

A beautiful Hotel with Lake Maggiore opposite situated in the lovely town of Sesto Calende which is located at the southern tip of Lake Maggiore. I have visited numerous times and have always been welcomed as an old friend. The owners and staff are wonderful and ensure that every guest has everything they need. I highly recommend the Tre re to any traveller to this area who is looking for a relaxing, friendly hotel where they can feel at home. The food is amazing too, never had a bad experience here, only made new friends and lots of happy memories.

Room tip: Room over looking the lake have balconies.
