Without question a very well equipped apartment with a view to die for and well placed for exploring the Lombardy and Peidimont sides of the lake. Luino was 3 miles or so,driving distance away and we raided the local Carrefour almost everyday. Not withstanding , we were surprised that one shower tray was severely cracked as was one wash basin. The Flora and fauna were harmless and I enjoyed meeting, one evening the resident Pine Martin who regularly crossed the huge balcony on almost every evening. Beautiful evening views from the balcony wean added bonus
We found as elderly and disabled people, 14 steps a bit much but Olympia and her men folk kindly carried our luggage as and when necessary. The hand rail fitted to the steps was partially obscured by vegetation and I would suggest that this should be part of programmed maintenance. We arrived initially at the wrong apartment block but again Olympia came to rescue us and even provided the missing key to the apartment, thus saving us a 6 mile journey to the hotel.
We found the people of Luino welcoming and made good use of their café wifi whilst we were waiting for the wifi roof aerial (destroyed during a magnificent electric storm) to be replaced. I am proud of the fact that I managed, to get my front wipers replace at the VW agent for £30.00 less than I would have paid at the Audi agent.
Bressio is not far from the alpine motorway linking Switzerland with Italy and it is quite easy to visit Locarno and Lugano by car.
