What a terrific place - a beautifully restored villa that offers every comfort for the luxury B&B. The owners have put a lot of thought into the whole experience and it is all the little extras and personal touches that make this such an excellent place for a relaxing stay. Nothing is too much trouble and both the owners and staff are friendly, helpful and eager to please. Breakfasts are tremendous with a wide range of choices and the afternoon teas are a real bonus. Lovely rooms and gardens with lots of extra comforts on offer.

Only 12 rooms with 2 more due for next year in two villas within lovely grounds, the room are beautifully refurbished in a modern-traditional, comfortable style. Each room has a large balcony to enjoy in privacy or relax on the terrace or in the graden. The breakfast buffet has a large selection of fresh fruit, cereals, meats, cheeses, breads etc & there is a bonus afternoon selection of coffee, cakes & pastries provided most days.

It is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to shops, cafes & decent restaurants on the lakeside promenade & in the cobbled lanes of the town. Buses are just a few yards away to take you north to Locarno & south to Stresa & beyond. Boats are more limited from Canobbio but take a bus to Intra for boats to the islands, Baveno & Stresa. There are some lovely walks nearby as is the Lido beach.

My wife and I spent 4 nights here recently and really enjoyed the stay. It's a fairly small family run hotel, handily located about 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. It is beautifully appointed inside and out, with nice gardens and a few loungers for sun seekers. At the bottom of the garden, within the secure perimeter, there are spaces to park the car - a real plus, as parking in the town is limited. Our room was modern, spacious and air conditioned, with a lovely, furnished balcony. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of meats, cheeses, breads and cereals. However, a couple of criticisms....the fruit juice was poor quality, the fruit salad on offer was limited and the scrambled/boiled eggs needed to be replenished much more frequently than was the case. A nice treat not to be missed was the complementary afternoon tea which was served on Tuesday and Thursday from 4 till 5pm - most enjoyable after a hard day's sightseeing.

I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. A friendly family-run establishment. We paid extra for a hotel transfer and were collected from the airport by the proprietor who also gave us a brief tour of the resort, pointing out the best restaurants, bus stops etc which was really useful. The room was lovely - clean, spacious, elegant, quiet. The breakfasts were amazing - fresh fruit in abundance, plus bread, cheeses, cold meats, pastries, unlimited tea and coffee - most days we didn't need lunch! On nice mornings you can eat breakfast in the beautiful secluded garden. A couple of days a week they also serve a free afternoon tea with tea or coffee and delicious cakes and pastries. The hotel is just a short walk (about 5 minutes) from the lake side, with it's lovely scenery, plus bars and restaurants. One of the nicest holidays we've ever had.

She said sorry only aircon rooms in the new building and no rooms available. Satellite tv all in German mmmmmmmm
