“Glorious Garda!”
Reviewed 9 April 2013 for a stay in May 2011

We had never travelled to Lake Garda before but were really keen to go there, and the only places our friends could recommend were camp sites. Therefore I sought out spacious, well equipped apartments, near to the lake and other amenities. From the first time I contacted them the reception desk/staff in Corte Ferrari were efficient, prompt and hugely indulgent of any of my numerous queries and requests! It was all worth it in the end! The development is gorgeous, just the right size, perfectly manicured and spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. The apartment was clean and spacious and cool on the hottest days. It was extremely well equipped for a very comfortable stay. We ate in only for breakfast, but there was a superb supermarket at the top of the road, which catered for every whim. The complex is the best balance of privacy, proximity to the lake and environs, and very peaceful if and when you need it.

“Hire a Car”

We had flat 11 which is on the top floor facing the lake and great views especially of a thunderstorm passing overhead at 2 o'clock in the morning. The flat was fine, spacious and with everything you'd need (a British TV channel aside, though we did follow the Tour De France on German Eurosport) including air-conditioning and even internet access (if you opened the side windows and shutters). The village is very small and though there are a few restaurants and a large Italmart supermarket if we hadn't hired a car (which I did ask the owners about when we booked) I would have gone a bit stir crazy after the first three or four days, with a car the lake (and further afield) is your oyster and there's secure parking at the complex. The complex is about 5 minutes walk from the waterfront but the "beach" isn't anything to write home about but as the pool at the complex always had lots of free loungers this wasn't really an issue.
