Short break stay friday/saturday night was the perfect getaway for a quiet weekend,
Had a lovely meal in the Cuan and spent a great day at Castle Ward
Mark and Sonya were ideal host who introduced themselves on the friday then left us alone until checkout on Sunday
The cabin met all our needs and the views of the seals resting on the rocks was breathtaking
Me and my partner booked as well needed evening away. Seal cabin has great hosts, in an amazing location and had everything we needed for our cozy night. It was like a home away from home and we were lucky enough to get some good weather! Would definitely recommend and look forward to hopefully coming back soon :)
We have been here twice. It is idealic and beautiful. The perfect retreat! The views are spectacular. The cabin itself is stunning . Meticulously clean, even the smell of the sheets were lovely. It has a beautiful bathroom with shower. There is TV. DAB radio and dvds. The owners can't do with enough for you if you ask. Really genuinely lovely people. They give you space and don't hassle. There is a gorgeous gas stove for heating, sofa, throws and bed is very comfortable. There is also a sofa bed which we I tend to use for the children. There is lots to do. This is the ultimate place for nature lovers as CASTLE WARD is just a 5 min drive away. Also the coast line is stunning . For any Game of Thrones fans this is the place to stay with filming going on throughout the year and tours are offers by The Anchorage in Ardglass which is near by. We were lucky enough to meet the direwolves from GOT as the owner lived locally. The restaurants are beautiful and seafood is delicious. I can't fault Seal Cabin . It's a home from home. Wether it be for a couple wanting to forget the busy world or for adventure nearby. There are bikes to rent at a reasonable price in the better weather. We will be back again and again. If you're looking something different then you've found it. It's a hidden gem.
Lovely wee cabin for our weekend break. Our stay was a present to ourselves as a treat for the end of the first week back to work and school after the Christmas holidays.
The cabin was cosy and well equipped for a short break. Enough room for us and the two kids, but would be a bit tight for four adults.
Spent the first morning poking about in rock-pools on the beach across the road and went for a walk behind Strangford village in the afternoon. Castleward on the Sunday.
Sonya was very welcoming, explaining everything in the cabin and had offered to pick us up from the village when we thought we were going to have to get the bus down. We hope to stay again in the late spring. Would definitely recommend to others.
Beautiful cabin in an amazing location. The cabin was decorated to perfection with great facilities, everything you could need and more! The owners were lovely very friendly and helpful. They had left us a selection of children's DVDs and fishing nets which our little boy loved, very thoughtful. The cabin is cosy and warm so great for winter breaks too.
