If you want to truly sink into the Tuscan lifestyle and experience the art of doing nothing but eat, laugh, and enjoy the warmth of the people, stay with an Italian grandmother. Susanna and her family have owned their villa for generations. The hilltop grounds were lovely and set inside olive groves accessible only by tiny switchback roads with sweeping views and breathtaking sunsets. No accurate GPS- paper directions. We intentionally arrived with no agenda (this is very difficult for me) and Susanna happily planned day trips for us each morning while telling us funny stories about her husband, 2 “tiger daughters”, 5 grandchildren, her passion for cooking, and her homeland. The highlight was returning to her villa each afternoon, drinking cocktails, and listening to her cooking dinner for her 23 guests. When we first arrived, my husband asked her to recommend a restaurant for Bistecca alla Florentina (Tuscan porterhouse). She responded “you want a steak? I will make you a steak!” Three days later, she served him a 3 lb Bistecca grilled to perfection. On another night, she presented 13 different pizzas from her outdoor wood fire oven. We could sit and listen to her talk for hours. She said she’s still hosting because the guests give more fulfillment to her than she gives back to them. She reminded me of my own Italian grandmother. Her little Tuscan paradise and hospitality really made an impression on us and we will return! Thank you Susanna!

My husband and I hosted our family here for 5 nights and on the 4th we had our wedding ceremony and reception. Susanna made the whole stay absolutely amazing and our wedding dreams a reality. The food was the best food we had in italy. The rooms are Italian rustic charm and the property is gorgeous. I can’t say enough good things about Susanna and le boscarecce. We loved every second of it and our families are already scheming about anniversaries and or weddings where we can come back.

Le Boscarecce was a dream! Our time in Tuscany was planned for the middle of our 12 day vacation. We reluctantly left the Amalfi Coast and headed north to Florence where we rented and car for the drive to Castlefiorentino. The countryside was breathtaking and the single lane, olive tree lined road to the inn, charming. We were warmly greeted by Susanna and shown to our room - the Dorothy Parker suite. The room was very quaint and comfortable with two huge windows we promptly threw open.
Dinners each night were traditional Tuscan cuisine prepared by our hostess herself. Absolutely delicious! All the traditional courses with just the right amount of each dish!

Susanna was a treasure trove of knowledge for the area. We were able to tell her where we planned to go and what to see and she'd share her input and give us great options. All of her recommendations were spot on! Plus she had laminated maps and brochures we could use for each excursion!

Over all, a wonderful location with beautiful gardens to walk through and relax. Highly recommend!

My family and I spent a glorious week with Susanna -never before have we felt so welcome! A beautiful Tuscan villa that her family have owned for hundreds of years.
It is situated on top of a remote hill overlooking the stunning Tuscan countryside.
The garden as well kept, the Pool is clean, there are tennis courts, table tennis, lots of things to do and enjoy!
Susanna has fabulous advice on places to visit (and those to miss out on if your time is precious) and Le Boscarecce is perfectly situated - only 40 minutes away from most of the main sites; Siena, Florence, Pisa, Vinci and San Giminano.
The rooms are spacious and clean and typically decorated in Tuscan colours.
Suppers were plentiful and very tasty...although the breakfast was a bit repetitive.
We met somebody who had been visiting for 30 years... it is that kind of place!
We will definitely be back Someday.

A beautiful, charming villa, we were greeted by Susanna, and immediately felt at home. She is so nice and very accommodating to your needs. The room was very nice and spacious. We were there only two nights, but would have loved to stay longer. We really enjoyed having wine on the patio, and dinner in the dining room was delicious.
