I gave this a very good rating given what is available in Bahia and the staff at this hotel. There are not great places to stay in Bahia. So, you take what you can get. In a big city this would be an average or below average hotel. That said, you are in Bahia.
The staff is the hotel is great. Young, helpful, smart and did I mention ready to help (with good cheer). Sure, it is a tired hotel, old style, old building, old rooms. That sad, you have good Wifi, good cable, decent A/C and an ok breakfast thrown into the mix. There is a pool (probably something very rare in hotels in Bahia). You have to recall that this town is still recovering from the earthquake - - so be thankful to have this hotel.
I went from there to a fancy what would be called a fancy hotel in Manta, some 2 hours down the road. Still, I have fond memories of this hotel in Bahia, its location, the staff and the fact that everyone tries to make it work - - to make the most of what they have to offer.More
