“A perfect house”
Reviewed 26 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We chose this house as a base for our adventure wedding in Scotland. The village looked charming and the house was suitable for our large party of 11. It turned out to be so much more! The owners are lovely, friendly, and helpful people. Chris went out of his way to make sure we were having a great time. He even loaned my new husband a pair of kilt socks for our wedding! The house is comfortable and full of everything we needed. The village of Milngavie is a short walk down the hill and the people are so lovely! We got to know the bartenders and restaurant locals and now we leave as friends. We will never forget this place and hope to visit again.

What lovely, lovely guests who seemed delighted by what the villa and Scotland have to offer. So happy with and respectful of our home, the garden, the "recycling police", the village [the pubs], the general area, and the ease of access to almost everywhere. We were so pleased we could help in a modest way towards this wonderful wedding event, and we blush with pride at the happy faces beaming throughout their stay.
Haste ye back.

“Large Family weekend”

Our family stayed at this lovely cottage over the bank holiday in August. It is well facilitated for a large family. There were 16 of us encompassing an age group from 3 to 68 years and everyone was comfortable. Chris the owner was always available for any queries if any popped up and the younger children even enjoyed his garden too, which attaches to the garden of the rented cottage- he allowed them to use the trampoline which the children loved. They also loved the treehouse at the back of the garden too.
I would definitely recommend this cottage. It is well located, with the local village being only a few minutes away as is the station. The train to Glasgow is only 20 minutes , and Loch Lomond was only a short drive.
The owners kindness also extended to returning an IPad that was left behind in secured post for next day delivery!
Thank you Chris for a wonder stay at your welcoming cottage.

Arpita's family were a delight to host and have generously made several remarks of gratitude. They had travelled long distances and we were keen to help with preparations in advance and for them to get settled in as soon as possible. At least with close access to the village and ample supply of major supermarkets, it’s not a challenge for guests to fully settle in as their home from home; and optimise the villa’s spacious internal areas/flexible bedroom configurations. Such things tend to hold great appeal for family groups.

We not only appreciated their high respect for our property but were also all the more content because they seemed happy to explore the many beauty spots within easy range.

All the very best, and haste ye back.

“Great t Property”

The property is very spacious and very clean and tidy. There are plenty of facilities for both adults and children. The landlord was very friendly and helpful.

The front drive parking is private and feels very safe.
The property is located in a quiet village and is convenient location to explore Scotland. Most of the tourist locations are within 2 hours drive from the property.

Overall an excellent experience all round.

Lovely garden! We were a family of 8 from 7 years to 67 and this house was perfect for us. Shops and restaurants an easy walking distance for all. The location is very central. Landlord is very helpful and close by if you need him.

From his early requests for advice about orchestrating his wedding events, to his consideration when erecting a marquee on our lawn, Gurjit was keen to make sure we were fully informed and even included in some of the entertainment for this major celebration event. We’re always delighted when guests make the most of Pleasant Hill’s capacity especially the proximity to village centre and amenity of the wider private garden areas for both the villa and main hoose next door - which his multi-generational and overseas family members clearly appreciated. Their use of the terrace and garden even seemed to be rewarded with fine weather and fabulous evening views. These are part of the appeal and why guests choose to return here. A wonderful family gathering, and a pleasure to host.
Haste ye back,
