This a delightful walk to Puerto Calero which is a charming place with a marina, wear trainers and not flip flops.

This walk is perfect if you fancy about an hour long walk from PDC to Puerto Calero There’s a distinct path all the way & follows close to the coastline but is gravelly in places & steps up & down a very small valley so you need at the very least trainers on Once at Puerto Calero there’s a great choice of bars & restaurants not to mention a small market if you catch the right day If you don’t fancy walking back the water taxi is great & runs regularly

This is a great walk, starting in the harbour at the old town and going over the cliffs to Puerto Calero. The views are fantastic but there’s a couple of ravines to navigate which can be tricky especially if trying it with a bike. There are good facilities in Puerto Calero so lunch etc is easy prior to the return journey.

We walked from Pueto Del Carmen and the steps at the start of the walk are quite impressive. After that the ground can be a bit rough so I think it may be a struggle in flip flops. Sorry to sound like a killjoy but we didn't find the walk itself that inspiring (it was quite windy and cloudy when we went so this probably had a lot to do with it) but it's something different to do for a few hours. Puerto Calero was quite nice - the water taxi booth is found at the end of the prom so we would recommend going there first to work out how long you have to wait and then you can have an ice cream etc until it arrives.
