Rented a cottage for the weekend. All chalets are set in beautiful gardens with plenty of grass for play. Stunning views of Berg from all chalets. Swimming pools dotted around. Many walks to do. Golf course is superb if somewhat expensive. Chalets are well appointed, serviced daily. Braai facilities. Guests can make use of hotel facilities. Shops across road from entrance. Plenty of attractions in area. Highly recommended

Beautiful resort. I’ve been coming here since I was a tiny baby. One of my favorite places to go on holiday. I highly recommend it. The chalets are well maintained and there is loads of green space. There’s also tennis courts and pools at both the hotel and around the chalets. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is amazing.

Its been 10 years since we were last able to use our timeshare in "The Berg" but from the minute we walked in the door (despite all the changes) we felt at home, peaceful and relaxed. The view from the chalet is just amazing, although at times the fog hid the mountain, we knew it was there. The New Years Eve party was as good as we remembered, although we missed the big wok cooking the calamari - it somehow used to make the calamari seem tastier. WE didn't spend a lot of time up the main hotel as there was a lot of walking to do and the pools were too crowded. The space around the pools is very small and not a lot of room to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The pool at the upper chalets, on the other hand was usual should include the toilets for easier access. There are also not enough loungers there. The golf course is absolutely beautiful, the trees have grown and it looks as though they have always been there. Quite spectacular. Family were booked into one the newer hotel rooms in the back row - one had to leave the room to really get a good view of the mountain, but fortunately you dont spend a lot of time in them. Plenty of Mountain Biking, hiking and running trails to choose from. There is a small grocery, liquor store and shopping center across the road for supplies. Close to the Drakensberg Sun and a few other hotels and activities should you wish to leave the grounds. Very sad to leave after an amazing weeks stay.

Went with the family for a week over New Year. Decided not to stay in the hotel and rather booked into an eight sleeper time share chalet. The chalet had three rooms as well as a sleeper couch in the lounge. It was very spacious and well appointed. It was a great base from which to relax around the local pool, play a round of golf or hike in the mountains. Ideal for families. Although the resort was busy, we did not feel cramped in at all and there was lots to do for us all.

Room Tip: Chalet as opposed to a hotel room if you are a family
