Efficient student-dorm/motel style establishment with helpful staff. The location is strange - both the local bus and the tramway go to different directions but neither goes to the city centre. You must be sure that this is convenient for you before booking. We got shunted to this hotel at the last minute from somewhere much better located for our purposes but it did work out to be tolerable. My main complaint is about the lack of sound proofing - I got woken up during the night by love making noises, trucks starting up outside, and in general had no need for alarms as the local sparrows happily served that purpose. Free wifi gave the slowest internet I experienced for a long time. In one extreme case a text email took a shower cycle to download.

Room Tip: Don't have any meals at the hotel, not worth the prices charged. If you have mobility problems, make sure to contact ahead of time so they could arrange you for a ground floor room. The upper floor is stair climbing only.

Stayed here for 2 nights, like premier inn, food ok, convenient for tram (5 mins walk away) and plenty of free secure parking (very useful after landing at grenoble and renting a car). Our room unfortunately stank of stale smoke even though there was a sign on the door saying no smoking, and the cleaner next morning decided to remove and ignore our "do not disturb" sign rather than read it! Got a good price on the web so happy enough!

Room Tip: ask to see room first!

Good position, but dated hotel. Good place to stay provided you book in advance and manage to get the cheap rates. If you have to pay full wack it is expensive.
As in (almost) all Campaniles, it was clean ( although the towels were frayed and old) and had toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities.
Free and fast internet connection. Secure parking, Friendly staff.

Room Tip: Don't unpack until you are sure everything works!

Stayed 3 nights on business trip. Rooms are being refurbed. Bright modern design with spotless bathrooms, new beds, carpets etc. Free wifi that actually works and tea+ coffee facilities in room. Obviously location is just off the ring road, so there is some road noise. Plenty of secure parking. Breakfast is reasonable for 9 Euro.

Was pleasantly surprised with this, more than adequate, 'Travelodge-type' Hotel (especially as one review said 'lamentable'! Chose it for position near to son's Uni accomodation and ease of parking, which can be a problem with the more central Grenoble Hotels. Room was spacious, clean and in reasonable repair. Room cleaned and towels changed daily. TV (French only), Tea & Coffee facilities, hairdryer, room and bathroom heaters. Only 2 clothes hangers on short rail (no wardrobe) but not a problem for short stay (we were here 3 nights). Secure car parking (locked at night) and plenty of spaces. Located on busy road in residential location but good sound insulation and shutters on windows meant we had trouble waking rather than sleeping! Attractive, small garden area with tables and chairs - very well maintained. Breakfast - adequate, normal, self-service continental fare - no hot food but cereals, fresh baguettes/croissants, jams, (packet) cheese and ham, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices. Didn't eat in restaurant but limited menu available in evening so useful to have available if you don't want to go out in the evening. Need a car as nothing else in area but about 10 mins easy drive to City Centre and think trams/buses available nearby. Slight worry was that, despite booking and paying ahead with Expedia, the hotel had no record of our booking but luckily, they were able to fit us in! Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Got good discount booking ahead so very good value for money and would be happy to use again. Good for a stop-off point if touring or ‘en-route’.
