This is a cafe, not a restaurant, and does what it does really well.

The tables are a bit cramped, you may end up sharing if only the large ones are left.

There's a long menu mostly variations of English breakfast, egg, chips etc. My cheese omelette was fluffy and cheesy, the fries piping hot, and it was bought to the table.
You order at the bar and bring drinks over yourselves.
There's a kiddies menu, basically smaller portions, it's on the side wall so not so obvious.
Only cash accepted, they have no debit/credit card machine.
We went in in boots and walking gear, and that was perfectly acceptable. There are outside tables for dog walkers.
For its location and customer base it is perfect. Hot, cheap food, plentiful and well cooked.

This is a cafe not a restaurant and they do the cafe thing very well. It is simple food and there is plenty of choice for kids and adults. We were a group of 4 families and descended on mass and as we were early (12) there was space. Ordered for 16 with no mistakes (food and drink) and all arrived promptly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the owner came out just to check cash only wasn’t a problem with such a big order (cash is king). As a cafe it was super and if the walks in the neighbouring country park are lovely and a good spot for a variety of dog walks and with a play park for the kids.

We walked around some of the lovely trails and did the gruffelo trail too so I could tell my grandchildren '
A lovely place to go to get out into the countryside! The cafe had lovely meals and sandwiches on offer along with a lovely cream tea !

We ended up at queenswood walking the dog very early one morning, and as we got back to the car park the smell of cooking bacon tempted us to stay for breakfast! We were able to sit outside, with our dog, under a big cover (so no rain) and enjoy a well.priced full English with tea included. Great service too.

A nice stop off for a brew at this cafe. Clean and tidy with friendly staff. Nice and relaxing after a day in the woods.
