If you want to play then this is the only place that you can when you are in Malaysia. The casino is good however you need to become a member to play on the slots not as easy as in vegas or other places. The table games are expensive you wont find the 5USD Balckjacks here. There are other things to do like the rides.

We based our vacation on going to Malaysia and visiting genting highlands. It turned out to be a horrible experience. The bathrooms were unhygienic, the theme parks were poorly made.the rides looked unsafe ,the only highlight was the cable car ride.I would not like to go there again.

Hopefully there is many changing to attract more people to come. Or maybe I'm just too old for these kind of entertainments. The fun thing is just the 4 km ride of cable car to reach Genting Theme Park, the other is just so - so..like other ordinary theme park in my country.

I got there by a rental cab from KL, costs me for about MYR 200. And then I take the cable car. The journey takes 1,5 hr.

If you like theme park so much and you have kids with you, you are suggested to go. But if you're not, try find something more interesting things to see in Malaysia.

Firstly, is it worth it, yes absolutely..
Is it necessary to reserve in advance, not the park, but if you are travelling by bus from KL and on a fri,sat or sun then you may need to book the bus tickets in advance..which we found out when we arrived at the bus station at Kl Sentra on a Fri morning and the seats were sold out but luckily we got a cab to share with a couple so it worked out ok..
Try to catch the bus latest by 9 am and take the return bus from genting by 7:30 pm so that u have a good chance of getting the most of the theme park..you can book ur theme park tickets at genting..the rides are good..not as run down according to some of the reviews..it may be better to work your way thru the indoor park first and then come to the outdoor park, that way the lines for the popular rides are somewhat lesser. The weather is on the cooler side so something warm may not be out of place
