Enter the Volcano House restaurant area and you will have the opportunity of looking at a scale 3D model of Mount Etna and its surroundings. If you are lucky the owner will introduce you to the intimacies of the volcano, how it was borne, how it moves over the millennia, how fertile its hill-slopes are and how the residents of the area relate to this mountain which has been blessing the area with plentiful richness, although from time to time it claims also some toll. Food at the restaurant is very fine. Pizzas are huge and delicious. If you you are looking for the "first time experience" and you are new to the Island, ask for a orange salad, and you will be surprised how good it tastes.
