Parking is now a breeze due to basement parking available at nearby Moulmein Rise. Hence nowadays this market is my main morning breakfast place to go to during weekends. Lots of food varieties. I go there in the morning - eat breakfast there- then adjourn to browse the stalls nearby to buy fruits for the week. The wet market is known to be more pricey compared to other wet markets. I like the bustling ambience of the whole area. What is different now is that parking is now easy, and that makes for a lot of difference.

The Hokkien Mee (Prawn Mee) looks simple (as with most Hokkien Mee in Penang) but the flavour is well balanced. The prawn broth is tasty and mixed with the sambal, it's good to satisfy my craving for the day. My colleague had Koey Teow Th'ng which I tasted a little, it was tasty too. We wanted to try one of the Char Koey Teow but the uncle said he's not ready yet (we were there about 6:15pm). The only disappointing dish is the Sotong Kangkung. While the cuttlefish and jellyfish tasted fresh but the main part which is the sauce is really bad. It's too starchy and lacks the 'Heh Kor' taste.

Tips/Note :

1. If you're looking for a more extensive hawker food variety, this spot is not for you. It is not a food court, more like a few stalls by the road side kind of set up. But if you've tried the better known ones such as the typical Gurney Drive food court, McAlister etc, this is a nice for a change with decent food.

2. There is also a luk luk stall here that seems to be very popular.
