Besides the wonderful dishes, there are great wines and “service” . The ambiance is so gorgeous that It makes you feel like not leaving when dinner is finished!

This experience was definitely worth the price. The waiters were very helpful and extremely courteous. The food was delicious, although pricy. The architecture of the restaurant is also marvelous, as it is all surrounded by vivid vegetation. The location of the restaurant is unusual. There is a van that takes you to the restaurant, since Manaca is on a very narrow, rocky street. This van awaits clients in the parking lot, which is more accessible than the restaurant itself, and take diners to the restaurant. When returning the man driving the van was so nice, he dropped us off at exactly the hotel we were staying, rather than the parking lot. I do recommend; however, to make reservations before hand. My party and I waited about an hour for a table to clear, and while waiting we ordered a tasty couvert.

Great place to go on a date with a boyfriend or close friends. Nice food and great drinks, watch out for mosquito bites!

If you're in the area and looking for a great fine dining experience, Manaca is the place. You have to know where you're going, it is literally down a dark dirt street/alley. You park part way and a van takes you to your destination. We have travelled extensively and this setting is up there in the top five in terms of uniqueness. Food was good and plentiful. Pricey, but on par with what you'd expect to pay in a large city in a restaurant with nothing close to the ambiance.

Went for dinner on Friday night. We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait a little but than got a table as the restaurant wasn't booked completely. Had the carpaccio as starter and then the fish of the day as well as the stuffed pulpo. All of it was very nice and tasty, so was the wine that we ordered.
Didn't like the fact that they charged us for the cover (even though some restaurants in Brazil do) and when they brought more without asking, we got charged double. In such a high-priced restaurant I expect it to either be included or to be asked by the waiters once they bring a new one.
The atmosphere is nice and it's a definitely a different experience to dine in the rain forest. Try to catch a little bit of daylight when you get there as you can't see very well anymore once it gets dark.
