Well 3rd time back at St Nicholas Hotel, perfect hotel for a relaxing break, pool and gardens are kept lovely, staff go the extra mile to make sure you have a lovely time, food in the hotel restaurant is lovely and plenty of choice, already planning next trip back can;t wait. :)

Room Tip: 308 looks over gardens and pool

What a relaxed holiday! Plenty of space in the beautifully tended, peaceful garden to place your sun-bed under an old olive tree, next to the lovely flowers, or by the good-size pool. Excellent breakfast buffet with Greek and international options. Good service and delicious Greek food at the pool-side restaurant - also for dinner.

The room was simple, but very clean and quiet, good size, with good air-conditioning, small kitchenette, powerful shower, plenty of space to hang your clothes.

The pleasant walk down-hill to Gouvia village took us some 15 min. The bus stop to Corfu Town is about mid-way. Do take the bus or a taxi to Corfu town - unless you prefer to spend the day, among all others, circling the narrow streets looking for a spot to park your car.

From arrival to departure we did not stop to admire the hotel garden, and the amazing, always smiling and genuine hospitality and attitude of the staff - better than at 5-star hotels! No wonder this family-run hotel has many repeat clients. It is excellent value for money, and has a good location to explore the island - or to stay relaxed right there.

set in lovely gardens, plenty of space but could do with a few more parasols and sunbeds, which are not broken.rooms are spacious with large balcony but need refurbishing, and cleaners need either more time or training,eg a lot of limescale and pink mildew in bathroom, just felt grubby.a few things missing eg kettle, hotel information, bath and sink plugs, not sure if toilet rolls are provided but often not.lovely location but coming back up the hill is hard work in the heat.all in all we had a lovely holiday.

Just returned from the saint Nicholas hotel in gouvia where we spent 7 nights. The hotel is up a quite steep hill, but if you're reasonable fit a nice walk. The rooms are spacious and well equipped ( if a little tired ). The hotel grounds are the main selling point of this hotel beautifully maintained with a big pool and lots of space for sun beds. Breakfast was adequate but not brilliant, the staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all would recommend this hotel.

Pros: the size of the accommodation was amazing (a good sized bedroom with a living room), and a mini kitchenette was a bonus, although I haven't used it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the grounds are gorgeous.

Cons: The room I stayed in looked a little tired, with about two or three small cracks and holes on the floor. One of the curtains in the bedroom was about 2 inches shorter than the other, and thus let in a lot of light from the outside (although that didn't impede with my sleeping). I have a feeling that the strength of the water stream in the shower depended a lot on whether there were other people having one at the same time.
