We have just returned from a week at Paradise Hotel as a family of 6 from Wales. Beautiful location and stunning views, a shorter walk than expected down a fairly steep hill to main road, supermarkets and bus stops, Gouvia town only a couple of minutes walk from main road with lots of restaurants, shops and bars. The pool at the hotel was amazing, always peaceful and never crowded and plenty of sunloungers. The rooms we had were not the newly refurbished rooms, but nonetheless were comfortable and very clean, lovely lady came in to clean and leave fresh towels every day. All the staff were more than helpful and friendly, thank you to Spirios and Anastasia especially, (vivre libre!) such hard workers. Amanda the manager was very helpful and had replied to my enquiry before we went about catering for my son's vegan diet and they ensured there was always an option for him at the evening buffet, thank you!! Huge thank you and big hello to vasilli, (probably spelt wrong sorry!!) who made the best Mojito's ever!! Hope to see you again Vasilli!! Oliver says Hi! Excellent hotel and perfect base to explore the rest of the island, we hired a car for a couple of days, which reception arranged for us with no stress at all, beautiful island to explore. We would highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday! Hope to return! Thanks, Huwi, Helen, Marly, Charlotte, Oliver and Harley x

The hotel is good: rooms were treated very cleanly and every day, all rooms have new tv's, mini fridges, the pool is amazingly clear and enough big, but sad because it closes at 8pm, the sunloungers are fun they have one position and You need to be very careful because you can tip over. The food is tasty and enough various, but we missed creppes and porridge in the mornings. (Also there could be a free water at the dinner). For us the biggest problem was air condition because the wind blows straight in the head, but we found a solution and moved beds. Not the best view from the windows. The owners are very friendly and helped us hire a car (a car was presented in the hotel). We spent the holidays perfectly (although it was raining 3 days out of 7!!!!) I wish you the best luck, keep the hotel the way as it is.:)

It is respectable 3-star hotel. The relaxing atmosphere. I will remember a good spirit everywhere and a good company at the hotel bar near the swimming pool. Hotel staff is very polite. Especially thanks to hotel manager Boris.

Room Tip: choose see view and superior room

If you want a relaxing holiday with beautiful views and friendly helpful staff then this is the hotel for you. If you are looking for entertainment every night, loud music drowning out the countryside noises then look for an alternative.

Right from meeting reception on day of arrival and leaving 10 days later, we have been looked after and catered for. Nothing was too much trouble. Management were visible which I personally think is a positive. Had some great chats finding out the history of the hotel.

Food selection is varied and plenty available. Drinks are purchased so not included in half board rate. Although juice and coffee, tea and chocolate included at breakfast. I would suggest decaf options for those of us who cannot drink caffeine. Lunch is available to purchase including small selection of ice creams.

The hotel is on a hill, although quite steep it is manageable and I agree with other comments if have severe walking issues probably better to avoid.

Local amenities including Maria's MiniMart is 5 mins walk down hill, good to stretch those legs after a lazy morning by the pool, other amenities on main road including supermarket, chemist and coffee places, all within 5-10 mins walk. Gouvia centre is 10-15 min walk dependent on your speed and the heat, where have access to beach, bars, shops etc.

Bus stop 5 mins walk down the hill, can buy bus tickets at Maria's MiniMart as cheaper. Corfu Town 20 mins bus journey.

Swimming pool good size, clean with floating devices available. Plenty of sunbeds with shade available from parasols and beautiful olive trees. Beautiful views looking out at mountain region. Stand up and can see the sea and Corfu Town.

Rooms are a good size, cleaned daily with free air-con (bliss). Small fridge available. Purchased a small kettle from local supermarket to make our daily brew (so British!).

For book lovers, there is a large cabinet in lounge area with good selection of books in various languages. I did a few swapsies.

Great hotel, thank you.

It was wonderful I was a bit disappointed after we arrived (overnight), as we were given a Double instead of a Twin room and then it transpired that some of the facilities advertised by the Agent- bicycle hire, pool table/ darts etc., didn't exist. It would be good if the introduction of some of these things could be considered + maybe some Board games etc. It was also a long walk from the Resort centre, over a main Road and up a steep hill. It really won us over though. The rooms were newly refurbished - stylish and modern. It was very clean. I can't fault a single member of staff - they were all fantastic..always kind, helpful, friendly and with time for you, despite being very busy. Special mention to Vasilious, Spiros, Anastasia and the Ladies on Reception.
The Hotel is at the tip of development in the village/ town and you do feel like you're in the middle of the countryside. The gardens are well-kept and the views of the sea from the pool are really special. The pool is usually quiet and you can always get a sun-bed. It would be good if these could be changed to ones you can adjust and which you don't get tipped off, though this was funny. Please don't ever start playing music around the pool - the peace and quiet, just the sound of Cicadas, was such a plus and really helped with switching off and relaxing.
Food-wise there wasn't huge selection and variety, but while I wasn't expecting much from buffet food, shovelling it in, I stopped and thought 'actually, this moussaka is excellent'. It's more than adequate. Better juice in the mornings would be good, or a water cooler. Jam for toast etc. I'd have liked more chips and an extra pudding option in the evening, but hey, I'm an unsophisticated Brit!
If you like being a few minutes away from 'the strip'/ Beach and like having loads to do, this might not be the the place for you, but if you want a scenic and tranquil base, go for it!
