Very beautifully restored but, there has been a cat and it has sprayed and the place stinks, so was kept awake all night , which seemed to last forever we came here to rest, the blue room decor in wonderful, hardest mattresses we have found so far and the room was acrid with tom cat smell, could not sleep all night as the acrid mell burnt my nostrils , my bad french not understood. I got a duvet out of a cupboard to soften the bec but it too turned out to be contaminated, sadly this really wrecked his special birthday treat for my husband. Staff did tbeir best and moved us to a room with a newer mattress but damage was done.Hot water only for one person in the spa bath. Please buy some mattress protectors, this is a must for any respectable hotelier, the lack of which makes for a very unhygienic environment.

Room Tip: If cleaned up blue room best o e and very tastefully rennovated and colour co-ordinatec

Not only is Sale one of the nicest places in Morocco, but Riad Marlinea is also one of the best places to stay in the entire country.

It is a tranquil oasis in the medina, with good views from the rooftop terrace, comfotable rooms, and a wide range of well-cooked food on offer.

It was a shame to have to leave and I wished I'd stayed longer.

A perfectly renovated and perfectly furnished riad in the old medina of Salé. Within walking distance of the beach and all the soukh shopping you will ever need. 10 minute walk to a tramway stop that will whisk you into the center of Rabat for 6 DH (give your ticket with some unused time to somebody queuing to buy one when you get to your destination stop and watch the smile explode across the recipient’s face). The owner and his wife will help you any way they can. If there is ONE slight point of criticism, perhaps it’s the fact that when people smoke in the enclosed common courtyard, you can smell it up in your suite. Other than that, no need to look for accomodation in the center of the capital. This place is as good if not better thanks to excellent public transport. Stay here if you can. You won’t regret.

The couple who own the hotel went out of their way to help me and my friends; they walked us down to the market late at night, as it was closing up, to help us look at the last minute for some very specific souvenirs, and then rose early to serve us breakfast before a very early-morning flight. They also called us a taxi, and followed up with the taxi service when it didn't arrive on time. The riad is very nice and clean. The only drawback is that it is a bit hard to find; the taxi driver at the Sale station had to call the hotel to get directions (which the owners gave him very quickly and accurately). Getting across the river into Rabat required a short walk and rowboat ride; one of the owners walked us partway to the crossing and pointed out the way. For sights in Sale, it's more convenient, and it's only about a 15-minute drive from the main Rabat airport (which is actually in Sale).

Room Tip: There are only four rooms and they all have different pricing.
