We were upgraded to a bungalow on arrival. No. 30 was just a few metres from the shoreline - great to sit on the balcony listening to the waves and looking over the sea. The Mimoza has rooms in the main block, some with a sea view and some overlooking the front, street direction, and the green hills beyond.

Argassi has no real beach and there is a very small patch of sandy beach by Mimoza, but the sea was warm and calm, with a safe gradient, suitable for children. It seemed to be a regular pastime for holiday makers to take a paddle

walk right along the waters edge, in front of all the hotels that line this part of the coast.

It also seems that many people from other hotels use the Mimoza's facilites, like the relaxing bar, pool and sunbeds (2.50e per day) because it is so well located - quiet yet access to the town right outside the main gate. The gardens are spacious, but could do with a tidy up.

We had B&B board. No cooking equipment in the room, but a fridge. Breakfast was typically continental, and got boring after 7 days - food wasn't great, and the orange "juice" was awful, powder based stuff. If you don't want to pay 5e pp

for Brekky there are bars that do a better deal and offer more choice. There are some great eateries in easy walking distance. We didn't have dinner at the hotel due to the example they set for breakfast.

Our bungalow/room was small but adequate, not perfect, and a bit basic, but good for Greece with a small bath and decent shower (beware of the hot water as it comes out scaldingly hot). Beds were comfy and we slept well, but there was music well into the night from nearby bars, but never too bothersome for us. Mimoza is one of the quieter in the area.

The bar was excellent with 2 areas, one set back and one right at the sea front - quiet and so relaxing.

We hired a car which was easily parked in the shade at Mimoza's car park. We explored the island, which proved really inspiring, with some beautiful sights inland and around the coast to the west and north. It was good to get away from Argassi's Blackpool style of hotels, bars, gift shops, tourist and tat shops and see the real beauty of the island. We met some wonderful locals - the greek people were amazingly friendly.

Best food was found at the Green Frog, Ethnic (with spit roast meats), Erato and Granada Taverna. World Golf, Mini Golf up above the main street has a good bar out of the way, which is nice,

Overall we had a memorable holiday at the Mimoza, our first time in Zakynthos, but the hotel could do some tidying up and improved breakfast, especially offering real juices, then it could be a little gem. If you want a brilliant seaside location go for bungalows 28/29, 30/31 or 32/33 as they are nearest to the sea.

Room Tip: Bungalows 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33 are in the gardens and near the sea.

I have booked the Hotel just because of its shady territory covered by grass, big pine trees and palms. The territory turned out to be really Fantastic and it was close to the sea.
At first we had a room in the main building. Can't say the room was perfect but it was clean and cosy. Lying under sun on the left side of the hotel garden I noticed brand new apartments just in few steps from the beach . The hotel administaration quite easily allowed us to move in the apartments . Our new room was large comfortable and with a sea view. There was a beutiful bush with flowers just near the door. We could go out of the apartments just in bathing suites and bath in the sea.
The s/aff was very friendly. They really cared about their guests..Espesially we liked beach bar owner Thomas and wife Helen.
Breakfast was rather modest. That may be the only thing which should be improved.
Argassi is a nice place for walking And it takes only 15 minutes to trave to the capitalof the Island by tourist train.
We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of July but did not suffer from heat .because of the garden!.

Room Tip: Recommend hotel apartments./ They are modern and comfortable.

Room isn't fantastic but you don't come here for the room, beds comfy, air Con works and it's clean... If you want better pay for a five star!! Hotel setting is beautiful and we are in heaven spending each day sat around the pool together enjoying the beautiful scenery! Beach bar staff lovely too! Deffo would come back and maybe bring the kids next time

I was lucky to have a large room with a sea view, which I did not expect as a single traveller. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. Bathroom shower was a little cramped. The air con was free so I didn't mind paying the 2.5e fee a day for a sun bed. There is no beach, but it doesn't matter as you lie on grass by the sea wall, and there are steps down to the warm clear sea.
Breakfast is a bit dull, but restaurant is outside and nice. Great pool too. Very relaxing week as there is nothing to domain Argassi.

Room Tip: The bungalows looked really nice
