lovely little cafe nice staff and a good selection of food. I enjoyed my pancakes and bacon syrup ( bacon slices could have been a bit bigger) I know my wife and sister enjoyed the carrot cake. Will be interesting to try it for lunch next time.

The dancing midge cafe is a small, welcoming cafe with great food. The proprietor was lovely with my grand daughter, making us all feel welcome. The menu is varied and all homemade. Don't be put off by the name!

The home made scones with clotted cream and jam are highly recommended, probably one the best I have tried, it is actually much softer and creamier than the scones in The Willow Tea Room in Glasgow. The lady was lovely and very friendly.
