We stayed at La Maison Tamoule over a weekend, and were amazed by the well-maintained hotel and the courteous staff.

The staff gladly showed a few rooms before we picked one that was comfortable for my mother-in-law. Some rooms have the sleeping area at a higher level than the rest, which may not be comfortable for older folks.

I absolutely loved the antique furniture and the retro vibe - everything was authentic and well kept.

The food was good too and the chef was happy to prepare a dish taking some dietary restrictions into consideration.

La Maison Tamoule will be remembered for a long time to come because we reserved the entire property to hold the first wedding in our family here.
This house is authentic chettinadu in all ways.
From day one of enquiry to the day we wrapped up the wedding and left, our experience with this place had been very professional. Mr.Ranjith the property manager made sure no detail was spared and was very helpful through out the wedding process. We felt very much at home. This house played a very important role in make the wedding the most beautiful experience ever.
The rooms are fine, some are small, could do with some better bedding/covers maybe.
Food was good, especially the wedding lunch.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here on business in Jan this year. This is one of those typical touristy hotels which talk about history and boutique experience with restored mansions from a hundred years ago. The room size was large but everything else was poor. The bed is uncomfortable and difficult to sleep on. The bathroom is small and not well thought of - if you shower the whole bathroom gets wet. The service standards are below average and breakfast takes 1 hour. The lunch/dinner is a a set meal which changes everyday and is largely European non vegetarian food so dint really eat here. These folks dont understand coffee.

I wont go back and certainly wont advise anyone else to do so either.

We have visited Neemrana's La Maison Tamoule many times in the last four years and have taken people there also and we have all enjoyed food. There is usually only one other table occupied when we go and we don't know why as the food is so good. They have tandoor as well as an extensive menu and the Tamil house is just beautiful. There is a wonderful art gallery opposite as well

Located on a heritage street. A heritage hotel. Beautiful. Every tile, every stair crafted with detail. Each room different, quaint names, quaint decor yet comfortable. Wooden stairs, unique architecture - what is not to like about it? Loved this place every moment we were here...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your warm words about Neemrana’s La Maison Tamoule, in the charming heritage town of Pondicherry!

We are pleased that you got a chance to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Tamil quarters and hope that you got time to explore the Aurobindo Ashram, the beach and the promenade during your visit.

In our effort to restore and revitaise a ruin to its original charm and glory, your appreciation of the effort by the restoration team reinforces the Neemrana philosophy and validates what we strive so hard to achieve.

We hope that as you continue to explore more of India with Neemrana, now spread across India with 27 properties, you will continue to write to us with your experiences.

Warm regards,

Team Neemrana
